Well, to close the loop on this:
I replaced my RX 580, and it booted right up. So now I have a dead RX580; anyone repair these? It's well out of warranty...
Well, I shorted the CMOS clear and got back to the POST screen. reconfigured the BIOS as MacMan had described.
Replugged my monitor to the internal GPU. I get the Clover menu and if I choose my OSx startup, it goes through the first half of the Apple process and then stops. Screen black, no...
Well you all,
My motherboard seems to have died. It was running and then I got white screens. Tried to reboot and get a solid white (boot) Qled. I’ve worked through it with ASUS and they’re sending an RMA for me to file and send the MB in for repair. I’m contemplating just buying another MB and...
So, my better half's iMac (Late 2009) has just about reached the end of its life. Been a good run. I'm thinking about building a NUC-based replacement using a NUC8i5BEH1, an ample amount of memory (16GB), and 500GB of M.2 SSD. I know I'll have to add a bluetooth adapter so her wireless keyboard...
@Ginhuey, They are apps.
CloverConfigurator edits config.plist files as well as mounts EFI partitions.
I've not used EFImounter, but I'd surmise that it just mounts EFI partitions.
You might not need to use either one of these, but they're available if you do.
1. Unzip the file to the desktop
2. In terminal, change to your home directory and then to the desktop:
cd
cd desktop
3. verify that the file is present, in terminal:
ls
You should see something like this:
DSDT.aml DSDT.dsl My TUF ASUS_TUF_Z390_HD_630
4. now you can execute the...
1. OctoTuf has MacMan's configuration for MultiBeast. You can use that if it matches your system, or use it as a base to modify to match your system. When you start MultiBeast, you can use the "Load" function (top right) to access that file.
2. You can unzip it to the same place the zip file...
So, I finally got Mojave installed. Initially, it would run for a few minutes before locking up. It wouldn't last long enough to let me run MultiBeast.
I've been pouring over the kexts and patches, trying to be sure I had everything in the right place and was using the latest versions. I was...
@MacMan - I'm stumped. I never make it to the graphics screen (with the apple). A photo of the freeze console log is attached
I've reverted to the on-board video and removed my RX 580. I'm running an i5-9600K instead of your processor, and my SSD is a Samsung SSD860 EVO (.5TB). I do have other...
So, I got past my system hang. I apparently neglected to re-do the Clover NVRAM install.
Unfortunately, system hang in a new place.
Config is the same as before. I've attached the console log; any suggestions?
I suspect that your config.plist isn't along the same path as @Ledfoot. In his case, he has mounted the EFI partition discreetly. Try following the path to your config.plist, and update the path in the PlistBuddy command.
