All time stuck on same error

People have been having issues with the ACPI drop tables, needing to switch that option from DMAR to MATS in order to get it to work: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/kernel-panic-on-high-sierra-installation.233227/

High Sierra - RX Vega & Final Cut h.264 fix

Good tip @Diorama. I haven't given it a go yet – my MBP TB is my video workhorse these days - but this is exactly the behaviour I'm getting with my RX Vega 56 so will probably try it soon. I've got iGPU disabled in the BIOS, though not sure how much that matters.

    Installation Hanging at Apple Logo

I was getting this with a Z77-D3H. For me it was a case of making sure all of the kexts in Clover's Extensions/Other folder were the latest version, which seems to be better than storing them in the System/Library/Extensions this time. Others have had success changing the Drop Table in ACPI from...

    Clover Boot Options

I've done something like this using Clover Configurator. You want to open up your clover.plist with it, head to the 'Boot' section and then in the top right corner you should see a field labelled "Default Boot Volume". Change this to HFS, save the plist and that should be good. Apologies if...

    Hackintosh won't POST, GA-Z77-D3H [SOLVED!]

Success! It turns out that it was a "simple" BIOS corruption as you pointed me towards BreBo. The problem was in getting the backup BIOS to trigger and overwrite the corrupted one. The method you linked to didn't work, but thankfully the second method here worked, I had to hold power and reset...

    Hackintosh won't POST, GA-Z77-D3H [SOLVED!]

Aw, man. That sounds so close to what I'm going through, but I just can't get that process to trigger and can't find a good video of it being done on Youtube.

    Hackintosh won't POST, GA-Z77-D3H [SOLVED!]

On other advice, I took the MB out of the case and ran it bare. As before, if there's no RAM, the internal speaker makes a series of continuous beeps, if there is a stick of RAM (and I've tried various slots and RAM), it power cycles. The power cycles have a pattern: - 25 seconds on before...

    Hackintosh won't POST, GA-Z77-D3H [SOLVED!]

Ah, I forgot CMOS reset on the list.... I've done that several times, but no dice. Thanks for the suggestion. Here's an imgur gallery of the CPU, socket, full board and the BIOS chips. I really can't see anything wrong in these images, which is so frustrating. http://imgur.com/a/hSo8J

    Hackintosh won't POST, GA-Z77-D3H [SOLVED!]

Update: SOLVED! Thanks for the suggestions, I'm back up and running after triggering the BIOS backup restore by holding power and reset for 10 seconds. I've changed the title so this should hopefully be useful for anyone with the same boot loop issue in future. ******* Hey, So I'd like a...

    AMD Radeon RX 480

Might give a fresh Sierra install a try when I have a day free. But I just had three back to back crashes like that, and decided to give up and muddle along in Windows for a while.... where I had the noise grid appear for a few seconds before the screen went blank and came back disruption free...

    AMD Radeon RX 480

Hiya, just want to pop by and chip in. Same as aunaste, I was on an R9 280X and I've also had good luck with the Sapphire Nitro+ RX 480. It's the top end one which is stock OC'd to 1342Mhz (11260-01-20G). Running with iGPU enabled, but blind booting through Clover to Sierra. With my monitor, I...

GA-Z77-D3H No Audio and Boot0 errors Yosemite Install

Went quite a while going round in circles on the boot0 issue, but it turns out I was overthinking things for my own situation. The garbage before Chimera loaded didn't mean anything different, and following the boot0 error guide seems to have done the trick (well, I'm typing from my Yosemite...

GA-Z77-D3H No Audio and Boot0 errors Yosemite Install

Yep, it's VoodooHDA v2.7.2 for VT2021, and just as before I've got all of the individual coloured sockets on the back in my audio outputs and inputs. I personally use USB audio, so that's not something I can really test too easily to see if it's working. However, I am seeing the Boot0 error...

GA-Z77-D3H No Audio and Boot0 errors Yosemite Install

All of the Z77-D3H revisions have the VIA VT2021 chip, so my understanding is that to use the onboard audio you need to install VoodooHDA v2.7.2 for VT2021. At least, that was the case for me under 10.9. This is my board as well, and I'm yet to install the boot loader and restart from the disk...
