    Acer C720 i3 Chromebook Continued Work (SUCESS-ish)

OK, that's interesting. Would that explain random KPs a few minutes after boot? I assumed it was my USB Hard drive flaking out. I just reinstalled to the SDD. Is there a way to disable the system from trying to load whatever it is that's preventing boot? Make is more usable for the time...

    Acer C720 i3 Chromebook Continued Work (SUCESS-ish)

Hey guys! Ive had Some success getting Mavericks Running on my new Chromebook. I read a lot of stuff about this laptop, as well as its Celeron Brother, in a few other theads, and I thought I would lay out what I have working: Installer: Latest Uni-Beast --> Laptop Support --> "-x -v" (safe...

    Mavericks: Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

Yeah, sleep has been working so I'm good for now. Can't say why, but the script decided that toleda's CPU goes to x8 And ours (3570k) only goes to x16. You could ask pike, but I wouldn't worry about it. I've never had states that low.

    Mavericks: Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

If sleep works, then I would say it works. Were you perviously getting P-States below 16? XCPM is supposedly more efficient, and couples beter with the new timer coalescing.

    Mavericks: Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

I think you misunderstood. The 3570K is not designed to operate under x16. Most Ivy Bridge's are not. The QPI thing fixes the scale of the graph in Intel Power Gadget. the SSDT script says: Number of P-States: 23 (1600-3800 MHz) 1600 to 3800, or 1.6Ghz to 3.8Ghz That is the range of your cpu...

    Mavericks: Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

You often wont get lower then x16. That happened to me as well, I had error 11, then error 12. I still get the error you have. You look good to go from the attached files. you get all states etc. If you want have pike take a look at the registers if u think something is up. Im not a "register"...

    Mavericks: Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

Yeah I had that for a while too. When I get home I will look into it. until then: -you are using clover -using -xcpm flag -AppleLPC is loaded also what are you using to test p-states? only AICPMI.kext and IPG are valid for XCPM. not HWmonitor

    Mavericks: Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

UGH! Sorry about that, and for taking so long to check back. My System is stable, but every once in a while it will not wake from sleep. (turns on, but no gfx, no networking, no usb) Does anyone else have a different experience with 3570K/Cover/XCPM?
  12. timvrakas

    Mavericks: Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

It looks to me like the 3570k has some XCPM issues, especially with clover. I have it working, but it took me a while.:banghead: be sure that: -AppleLPC.kext is loaded -use -w 3 for SSDT generator -use -xcpm flag if XCPM is loading then that is a good start. Missing states can be remedied...

    Mavericks: Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

Sorry, Here are all the rest of my files: Sleep functionality has magically reappeared. I didn't do anything but whatevs.

    Mavericks: Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

Sorry, here is IOReg. I re-patched my DSDT, but I can't get AppleLPC to Load.

    Mavericks: Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

Just realized I can no longer wake from sleep, so yeah its worth worrying. I reverted to the clover state-generators and that will do for now. What does the LPC@1F refer to ? That might have something to do with it, but I couldn't find any info on that.
