I deleted BrcmBluetoothInjector.kext b/c it's no longer necessary in Monterey.
But you could readd it and set MaxKernel to 20.6.0 (I believe, check w/ uname -v; so the Kext is only loaded when booting into Big Sur and lower)
BTW I've also tried undervolting, however (as already mentioned in this thread) it's not feasible w/ the current firmware.
Therefore I was curious whether anyone actually tried a downgrade (I'm afraid of bricking my device and having to reflash it via an EEPROM flasher)
MLB, Serial number & UUID has been blanked out
Bluetooth also works now w/ the latest Kext Updates
However Low Power Mode seems to freeze my system
Note: I'm using the latest UEFI
Hi guys,
I upgraded yesterday to Monterey w/ mixed results.
Current issues:
Bluetooth didn't work (caused system to boot veeeeery slow) -> fixed by replacing BrcmBluetoothjector w/ BlueToolFixup (as described here https://github.com/acidanthera/BrcmPatchRAM#bluetoolfixupkext)
EDIT...
I should note that I'm using the latest release w/ the previously mentioned kexts disabled (i.e. also SMCDellSensors.kext).
Since then I haven't had any issues w/ freezes using Discord, M$ Teams, etc.
I've had the same issue.
However, since I've stopped using Thunderbolt and disabled unnecessary kexts (SMCDellSensors.kext, SMCLightSensor.kext, SMCProcessor.kext, SMCSuperIO.kext) the problem seems to be gone (no freezes since then).
But I'm not sure though whether there's any correlation...
Apparently you can also use cmd + v (like on a real mac), however that didn't work for me.
So I added the flag in my boot-flags (see attachment).
I also got stuck @ initial boot stage, but setting the UEFI variables properly resolved the problem for me.
So I'd strongly suggest checking for your...
I cleared the nvram (single user-mode -> sudo nvram -c), but unfortunately the issue still persists.
But I found (for now) a workaround: Unplugging the notebook before putting it in sleep and ‘docking’ it again as soon as the notebook has woken up.
Obviously, this isn’t a perfect solution but...
After some thorough testing, I observed that the restarts primarily occur when the notebook is plugged in the TB3-station (~9 of 10 wakes = crash).
Crashes also occur when the notebook is woken up while running from battery /power adapter, but not as frequently (~ 1 of 10 wakes = crash)...
Hey guys,
I’ve been experiencing pretty severe waking-issues since upgrading to the latest UEFI-firmware (1.16.0).
My XPS usually (in 6 out of 10 cases) restarts after a few seconds after waking up from sleep (display goes black and notebook starts posting again).
Has anyone else experienced...
