I've been trying to follow along with your clover install (lots of other reading too). I was able to:
- install yosemite (followed healio's instruction for cloverconfig - uuid, etc...)
- installed clover
- copied efi to efihd
- copied your dsdt and ssdt to patch folder (versus specific to...
I've got a mac pro 1,1 with an apple 5770 card in it.
what directions/instructions did you guys use to do ML install?
I'd like to see if I can follow along and get this 1,1 machine running ML.
Any traction on this front?
I had tried unibeast to install 10.8.? on a MacPro 1,1 using at ATI 3870 upgrade with no success. I'm able to activate the legacy boot mode but it seems like there's some check that's failing prior to the installer loading. I get a circle with a line through it...
I use the 2720 rocketraid.
It's worked quite well (knock on wood).
In the past I've also successfully used the 3ware (now LSI Logic?, but not their other megaraid product line) controller.
It worked as well.
These cards seem to help quite a bit when doing raid5 parity configurations...
Hi tordin,
I have the same problem.
I don't use aperture or photoshop on this particular build.
I noticed that the machine will slow to a crawl (gui-wise) and then lock up completely. No input from keyboard or mouse. Sound will continue for some time before that eventually stops too...
I followed Going Bald's multi beast screen and his steps for chameleon wizard.
It's pretty clean.
I can boot.
I have network, sound and graphics all working.
No HW monitor.
After using the machine for a few hours - it locks up.
No gray screen of death.
No messages of any kind.

spoke too soon... I experienced a flurry of crashes today...

I was having issues with this board MSI Z77A-G45 so I created a...

I was having problems very similar to you all...
I haven't looked into this very deeply but this fusion drive sounds a lot like the tiered storage capabilities of ZFS. Once upon a time, I remember that there were rumors that OSX would eventually switch to ZFS as a primary filesystem. That rumor died sometime before Oracle acquired Sun...
Same here...
EDIT: I'm using a Kingston DataTraveler
EDIT2: I downloaded on a different Mac and this time I left the Install Lion icon running on the dock. Then I ran unibeast immediately after download and it seems to be running fine.
It seems odd that on the Mac Pro, it wouldn't get past...
