I've got a mac pro 1,1 with an apple 5770 card in it. what directions/instructions did you guys use to do ML install? I'd like to see if I can follow along and get this 1,1 machine running ML.

Any traction on this front? I had tried unibeast to install 10.8.? on a MacPro 1,1 using at ATI 3870 upgrade with no success. I'm able to activate the legacy boot mode but it seems like there's some check that's failing prior to the installer loading. I get a circle with a line through it...

I use the 2720 rocketraid. It's worked quite well (knock on wood). In the past I've also successfully used the 3ware (now LSI Logic?, but not their other megaraid product line) controller. It worked as well. These cards seem to help quite a bit when doing raid5 parity configurations...
