    AppleHDA HDMI Audio [Guide]

Did the above procedure, now it detects my monitor but yet no sound, plus everything that has audio included won't play as opposed as simply doesn't output sound: Youtube videos would not start etc. Here's the files. Thank you a lot, Toleda! PS: MacIASL still doesn't even open its main window...

    AppleHDA HDMI Audio [Guide]

Hey, Toleda! The HDMI script is always failing with this output: File: audio_cloverHDMI-130_v0.6.command Release Mode EFI partition is mounted Error: no IOReg/HDEF; BIOS/audio/disabled or ACPI problem Continue without HDEF/onboard audio (y/n): y No audio codec detected No system files...

Audio - HDMI Audio AppleHDA [Guide]

Hello, @toleda: I simply have no words to thank you, after a week of headaches with this hackintosh. The problem was indeed DropOem: as soon as I set it to "false", I was able to use your cloverHDMI command and voilá: my computer was able to boot with it without the reboot loop. Problem solved...

Audio - HDMI Audio AppleHDA [Guide]

Hello, @toleda! I've been through hell this last week trying to enable HDMI audio for my hackintosh. The problem is not simply that it doesn't work: instead, every time I boot with a tool that, if worked as expected, would enable HDMI audio, the computer can only boot in safe mode. If started...

    Building a CustoMac: Buyer's Guide November 2013

In fact, SquishyTia, couldn't Tony really include the Asus R9-280X, since it has at least one report to be working fully and out of the box (#56), is cheaper than the GTX 770 and performs 780ish level? Besides, it would beat hands down any nVidia card in OpenCL applications, just as any AMD card...

What about AMD's R9 Series (280x, 290x) on our Hackintoshes?. Further explanation.

It seems hi-end AMD is as straightforward as hi-end nVidia, performs better (the 780ti is still unsupported and would only match with the 290X anyway) and costs a chunk less. Should be in the next buyer's guide, I think...

    Budget Graphics Cards

Hi! Try the nVidia G210: under $30 in the U.S. Out of curiosity, why not simply rely on the integrated card of your Intel CPU? If it's IB or newer, it should vastly outperform both the G210 and the HD5450... All the best!

    Chimera 2.2 Update

Yes! Or Clover, RevoBoot or XPC, each one using a different method to achieve the same result - see the alternate boot loaders section. All the best!

Temporary Installation Guide for Haswell Systems [10.8.4 only]

As long as you're running vanilla kernel, all services should work, unless you miss some step in enabling them or Apple change something breaking everything, as it did early this year (the famous iMessage bug). All the best!

Temporary Installation Guide for Haswell Systems [10.8.4 only]

iCloud, FaceTime and all other Apple services but the stores won't work with a custom kernel, such as MacMan's patched kernel. You have to wait for vanilla support for Haswell to use these services on your computers. All the best!

[Easy Guide] ML: UEFI HDMI Audio

Hi, Toleda! Came here just to thank you for this new guide: just enabled HDMI audio with HD4000 (i7 3770) and a GA-B75-D3H (RTL 887) and it was really a piece of cake. The new DSDT tool helped a lot: i finally jumped in the MaciASL boat from good old DSDT Editor: no regrets. All the best!

    Clover Booting Guide: Z77X-UD5H- HD4000+GT640

P.S.: when using the 640 GT, can you also use the HD 4000 the same way you'd be able to use the 640 GT when the HD 4000 is set as primary?

    Clover Booting Guide: Z77X-UD5H- HD4000+GT640

Hi, Toleda! I think that i accidentally hit some potentially useful information about the problem we're experiencing with our HD 4000 when booting in UEFI mode. I just bought a bigger HDD and decided to use it as the system disk. Used good old CCC to clone my current installation to it, then...
