I was wondering if anyone had tried to get this working with macOS Catalina yet? When I boot the catalina installer with the same patches that I used for Mojave the laptop hangs. How can I find out what is the problem?

This guide doesn't work with the new RehabMan's config_HD4600_4400_4200.plist which uses whatevergreen kext. what are the modification needed to make the guide work with this new config.plist and whatevergreen?

I have to increase the screen brightness using the keyboard (Fn+Home).

Everything is perfect except that almost always backlight is off when laptop is woken up from sleep. Is there any solution?

When I shut the lid the laptop sleeps, and it does not wake up from sleep (in this case only) with opening the lid or pressing power button. It is not a big problem.

This way, it sleeps and wakes up perfectly.

Yes, power LED is blinking, and after opening the lid power LED turns on.

Pressing the power button after opening the lid doesn't do anything. Anyway, thank you very much for your clarification RehabMan.

I installed everything from scratch again, and get the same sleep problem. When I close the lid the laptop goes to sleep but when I open it the screen doesn't turn on. any help. thanks
