    [GUIDE] ASRock Rack EP2C602

Ivy and Sandy are different beasts since Apple never released a product with Sandybridge architecture. I would start with using nullcpupowermanagement to make sure you can establish a stable system. If that is all successful, then you can worry about enabling CPUPM.

That is strange. I have never had issues. I flashed when I got the board and haven’t looked back.

    [GUIDE] ASRock Rack EP2C602

Do you mean how to create a modified BIOS or how to configure BIOS? I created and uploaded a new PDF BIOS setup guide just in case anything had changed between firmware builds. To keep in mind we don't have the same motherboard.

The mod is really only mandatory if you want NVMe boot.

    [GUIDE] ASRock Rack EP2C602

Start with the most recent BIOS for your board. As of the time of this post, that is version 1.90 . Follow this guide to add NVMe support. If you don't need M.2 NVMe you can skip this step. Next, use CodeRush's UEFIPatch tool to unlock the MSR. This step isn't required either, but if you...

    [GUIDE] ASRock Rack EP2C602

Yes, I received a warning. CPUFriend is complicated and I can't say I have it 100% figured out yet, but clearly you aren't injecting the Mac frequency vectors for your CPU since the benchmarks are lower. Try this: Generate the SSDT the same as always, but use the CPUFriend frequency vectors...

Sleep, PM, and USB all work... but it took tweaks to get them there. That is why there was a delay in finishing the guide. Sleep now works great.

    [GUIDE] ASRock Rack EP2C602

I am working out the kinks, but will work to keep updating. My delay in posting was addressing some unforeseen problems. Overall, Catalina is fine now that it has reached 10.15.2 and is out of beta... I don't have an EP2C602-4L/D16 and can't predict what differences might exist. It is logical...

I am deprecating this guide and creating a new one for macOS Catalina. I will no longer monitor or comment on this older thread. Please use the new guide if you have an EP2C602.

    [GUIDE] ASRock Rack EP2C602

Components The only specifically required components for this build are an ASRock Rack EP2C602 motherboard and Ivy Bridge-EP processors. Your case, ram, PSU, etc should have no bearing on your success. As noted below, the LGA 2011 socket supports both Sandy Bridge-EP (E5 v1) and Ivy Bridge-EP...

[DEPRECATED] ASRock Rack EP2C602 Install Guide for Sierra and High Sierra

I still can't see the kext involved in the KP backtrace. Try filming Clover booting using slow-motion. Sometimes thats the only way I can catch the issue because it scrolls so fast. Use Clover Configurator to update the Bios version indicated in the SMBIOS. Newest released for MacPro6,1 is...

[DEPRECATED] ASRock Rack EP2C602 Install Guide for Sierra and High Sierra

I can look at the EFI folder later, but 1. you don’t need any kexts for Ethernet if you follows the guide 2. when troubleshooting, always start as minimal as possible. No need for audio or Ethernet to just boot. Remove anything non-core.
