Anyone else getting ass disk speeds? I'm seeing 25 write/80 read ish using the BlackMagic test tool. Same SSD in my work MBP gets 280/500. Ditto with my RAID card (HighPoint 2720) in RAID 5. While I don't expect the numbers to be spectacular due to it being only a 4-disk RAID5, I don't...

I had artifacts before doing a clean, lion-only install. My upgraded SL gave lots of funnies, but I rebooted with rBoot, wiped out the SL partition and installed fresh using my xMove partition as described earlier in this thread and have no artifacts whatsoever. I beat the snot out of this...

Run MultiBeast again, selecting the appropriate ethernet driver as the only item. Remove network cable, reboot, re-insert, voila. Did it for me. I had the same issue with audio. Ran multibeast with just the audio bits, voila! Sound. As for the "not supported" bit, did you check the "Mac Mini"...

Decided to do a clean Lion install. Put the SATA DVD-ROM back in and booted the xMove partition with rBoot. Install took about 7 minutes (yay SSD!) and rebooted. Ran multibeast, booted from SSD and everything worked save ethernet (status not determined) and audio (present in system profiler but...

tearing seen on HD3000, with both 384/480 - osx now reports 512 regardless of setting.

I continued using iBoot to boot the SL install until I had Lion properly loaded on the installer partition using xMove. I just extracted the .dmg from the Install Lion.app file and mounted it. NOTE that xMove will try to install it to your SL partition by default. You have to basically go...

More or less yes. You have to double-tap the power button... Takes some getting used to. I won't be using sleep anyhow. Seeing lots of grfx artifacts all of a sudden... I upped the graphics ram from 384 to 482 or whatnot in BIOS but OSX is reporting it as 512. Strange. Will drop back down to...

Correct. You will need rboot to boot the xMove installer partition - iBoot would not boot it for me. I've got almost everything working now... Except audio. After following Tony's instructions I had no audio devices present. After installing the "toolkit" I now have several output options...

I had no issues using the latest version of Stuffit Expander. Just drag n drop.

I've been doing this build/install today and about to call it quits (its 12:30 in the morning in Switzerland) I went ahead and followed tonymac's instructions to get SL installed and so far so good. I'm actually making a MacNAS instead of a MacMini... Fractal Designs Array case, i5 2500k and a...

Just to clarify... the guide says you shouldn't reboot after the 10.6.8 combo update without running multibeast - this is rendered OK by continuing to boot with iBoot?
