Apple Chime at Startup Added to Clover

This is great. Thanks to the Clover team for adding this. Slight issue: I found that if I set the fast boot option in config.plist (i.e so that the Clover GUI does not show) and set PlayAsync to TRUE then the Mac startup chime played on infinite repeat. Easy solution is to set PlayAsync to...

High Sierra feels "sluggish", compared to Sierra. Does it happen to you as well?

I have the same sluggish response with High Sierra. Apps seem to take an age to open. I don't think this happened when I first installed 10.13, so I suspect that the Spectre/Meltdown fixes have caused this. This is understandable because of what the fixes had to do, i.e. strangle the preemptive...

SOLUTION (for me at least). Use AppleIntelE1000e.kext, v3.3.3. Later versions cause this problem. I tried v3.3.5 and 3.3.6, but not 3.3.4 as I did not have it lying around, and both cause the problem. I tried installing them in S/L/E and L/E, one at a time. My MoBo (GA-Z77X-UD5H, rev 1.0) has an...

UniBeast: Install macOS High Sierra on Any Supported Intel-based PC

Your link is for CustoMac Mini 2017. I am talking about the original CustoMac Mini 2011. I am waiting for MultiBeast 10. I have it working completely bar USB 3, because the chipset on this mobo is no longer supported by Apple. No workaround here I understand. It is currently running on HDD and...

UniBeast: Install macOS High Sierra on Any Supported Intel-based PC

CustoMac Mini 2011 fans... I have learned my own installation process for 10.13.1 from my initial install on my spare Hack, based on CustoMac Mini 2011 with i5 3570K CPU. I have now reinstalled from the beginning and have a clean Hack running 10.13.1 waiting for MB 10, just in case there are...

UniBeast: Install macOS High Sierra on Any Supported Intel-based PC

MB Sierra edition does appear to work for HS when you format your HD as HFS+, so it is half right.

[Solved] Installation Stalls at the Apple Logo

When you get to the Clover screen press 'space' bar (so that you can the option to add boot variables - you may need a USB keyboard). Look down the list and select 'Verbose'. Then go back up and select to boot with the selected options. This will then give you more info as to where the boot stops.

Get "Cannot Install on this computer"

Use Clover Configurator (get the latest version) and it applies the correct value of 'firmwareFeatures' for you, to match the value of 'ProductName'. Older versions of Clover Configurator did not populate this, and my understanding is that this is new for High Sierra. You need to use a value of...

Get "Cannot Install on this computer"

I had this problem when I first tried to install HS on my H67 system, using UniBeast 7. It may be to do with your SMBIOS 'ProductName' setting, in that you identify as a specific Mac and then the installer does not find the expected hardware. I changed 'ProductName' from iMac 14.2 to iMac 14.3...
