I just checked and it's set to auto. I was expecting disabled as that's what I've typically set it to all the other times I've reconfigured BIOS settings.
I've been running F21 for a while (gotta be at least a year).
Just reset the NVRAM, and tried a cold boot without issue (may be a fluke though). Will continue to monitor.
I actually haven't had any issues with WiFi or Ethernet after upgrading. I was holding off since people were having issues, but then I decided to give it a shot. I'm using the same...
I'm not sure if this is related or not, but lately every time I cold boot into macOS, I'll get a crash just as it's about to finish booting, and then an automatic reboot. I can't tell when it started, but maybe when I updated to OC 0.9.0 within the past two or three weeks. Just updated to...
I seem to have fixed it. Adding the flag (vm.bios.efi=0) in the KB post fixed the issue in the original post, but then removing the flag after attempting to boot fixed the "No boot device..." issue I had.
I'm having similar issues having just upgraded my Windows SSD to Windows 11. I used the same method you described since Parallels didn't give me the Bootcamp option in the initial setup screen.
This article helps get past that screen you posted: https://kb.parallels.com/en/122735
However, I'm...
Has anyone had issue with Ventura and Airplay? Just tried it for the first time since upgrading, and I can't tell if it's a bug with Ventura or something to do with my system. (I haven't upgraded any of my other real Macs beyond Monterey yet to test.) It works for about 1.5 seconds before...
Yes, 4 modules. I wasn't aware of that and that's really disappointing to hear. Really wasn't wanting to swap out the RAM given the other upgrades I'm doing, especially since it's worked for 2+ years. Thanks for letting know me that it's a known issue. Guess I need to do more research.
I just upgraded to an i9-11900K (from an i7-10700K), which is mostly working, but I can't seem to enable X.M.P. in the BIOS (obviously on F21). Screen goes black after booting, then it automatically restarts after about a minute and wants me to reload defaults.
I've reloaded defaults a few...
Please explain. I believe I know where this is going, but I'd appreciate more than "nonsense" and an analogy.
If you're phasing out Synology, what are your recommendations for superior NAS implementations? It sounds like you and your company have different needs than a home enthusiast. Bear...
Should I be seeing the ability to update to OC 0.8.1 in Hackindrom yet? For some reason, I feel like I don't always see or get the option to update OC on my system (either in Catalina or Monterey). Running the latest v2.1.3.
