And you're using @byteminer's EFIClone right? Because you shouldn't need to copy the EFI folder to the clone, the EFIClone script should do that for you. And are you able to get to the Clover Bootloader screen or does it hang before then?
My specific problem was unique to the lenovo system I...
I know for Mojave /L/E is highly recommended but for Catalina, it's the opposite so it really depends on what you're running.
I never remembered seeing a VirtualSMC driver and I just checked, my EFI doesn't have one. I think the VirtualSMC kext (in EFI/kext/other) is the only thing you need (in...
Where are you putting the kexts? If it's in /Library/Extensions you can't just drag and drop it, you actually have to use something like Hackintool (see post #2) to install them.
Download the releases zip file here and you'll see it in the kexts folder.
Also, remember that VirtualSMC depends...
Yes, I'm on 10.14.6 and I went back to Clover 4xxx so you'll see driver64uefi below. Not sure if there was something specific you wanted for the "finder window" screenshot, if so just let me know. Thanks!
I have followed this guide before and it worked great. But on a new system I'm building, the backup clone doesn't seem to work on its own. When I boot to Clover on the internal disk, I can open MacOS on the backup just fine. But when I boot to Clover on the backup disk, Clover recognizes MacOS...
Be VERY careful about installing a dual boot system. I'd recommend looking at @CaseySJ note on Windows10 in his golden build. But being a LogicPro X user myself, I found that having an M.2 NVMe drive makes a HUGE difference. I'm using the HP EX900 and it's working great (it's also much cheaper...
Lilu was updated a few weeks ago from before I did my first install. Deleting and reinstalling the updated version worked. Thanks for the help @Feartech
I took a look at this post yesterday and it was very helpful for understanding the installation of kexts. I followed it about as closely as I could but I'll take another look.
I ran the tool and attached is the debug zip file.
I'm using this guide for switching over from FakeSMC to VirtualSMC but it doesn't seem like VirtualSMC is loading properly.
I've attached images of the hackintool after installing and repairing permissions for the kexts in the L/E folder. I've also attached a photo of where in the boot it gets...
It worked! I had already tried using a USB 2.0 stick, unplugging the USB PCIe card, and unplugging the reset switch remote but between updating to F10 and also unplugging the USB3.0 front panel connector from the motherboard itself, it went through. It's good advice for future builders to keep...
I've tried following this guide but I keep running into issues in Phase 1 before the installation page. I've even tried copying a recent version of @blouse EFI folder and I still run into the error pictured below. Edit: it definitely has to do with that "Waiting for dict ID=0" line. After about...
