Clover boot to black sceen - sometimes

Hey Rehabman, thanks for your patience and help to figure out the specs of my machine. I will/have to proceed here. If I come along with a solution for this specific problem, I'll provide it to the community. Thanks again!!

Found it and the interface (German: Verbindungstyp) is: Integrated Display Port Well... and now? Is there a chance to get the brightness control working? Are there other ig-platform-id for this interface to make it possible?

Ok. Got it. But where can I see the used interface?

OK. Than it was the wrong SSD. Sorry. I'll take the win version from my T430. This one has also an bild in HD4000

Ok. I've booted the Vaio from an external Win 7 ssd. Regarding the display adapter properties it says that the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter is used. Is there somewhere an entry to identify the interface?

Can I check somewhere what kind of connector is used for the display? As I said in the beginning, this laptop is completely different to all machines I had before.

Ok. I'll check the sleep thing again. What is the expexted value in the ioreg? I did another check. I change the platform ID back to 0x0166000a which has no slider as it is using eDP. With that value booting runs without any issues. I know this is no solution, but I can start the vaio...

I'm lost in that IORegistryExplorer. Unfortunately I have no clue how to use that tool to get the relevant infos. Pressing the power button several times while logged in using an external monitor enables all the time the internal display. So there must be a way to fix that. But where to start

I've done that. But anything changed in the PNLF tab. Does the IOExplorer has an auto update function or must I refresh the view manually after changing something?

It's getting more strange. After booting in that black screen, plugging in the external display and logging in, I can enable the internal display by pressing the power button several times. Pressing one time brings no change. I was looking to get this menue to send the laptop to sleep. After...

Is there a special key or value to look at?

This configuration was ok. I patched the DSDT again with the HD3000/HD4000 brightness fix and booting went fine. But after I changed the brightness with the slider the same behavior as before startet. The machine boots into a black screen only. As it seems that it happens only if I have used...

Clover boot to black sceen - sometimes

I found an old thread where they talked about the possibility that the nvram.plist could forget the brightness level and boots with the standard values https://www.idelta.info/archives/more-about-nvram-on-hackintosh/ Any ideas on this? Or is it generally possible that clover boots to zero...

Yes. I've reinstalled 10.12.1 I'll check ACPI again. What about the nvram idea?

Ok. I checked to adjust the brightness while booting to the black internal screen. The slider appeared on the external monitor and adjusting brought me to an brighter or darker black internal screen. See attached screenshots from the external screen
