[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Mojave VirtualSMC, I2C Trackpad, Clover UEFI Hotpatch

Appreciate the reply, question what's the difference between booting clover from the boot folder and the clover folder? Doesn't the boot folder redirect to the cloverx64.efi or am I completely off here? Also, this is what I was trying to do but for some reason it kept adding Windows above it...

It does, and I just did it. However, it keeps re-adding ****ing windows back automatically on boot on top of Clover in the boot menu. It's pissing me off. Have you run into this?

Correct. Always Mojave, tried in January and gave up. I've been trying again lately. I have probably over 100 hours in this at this point. Yeah, I have gone the HP route for now since I need the option to rollback to the LiteOn Windows. So far so good, though it lasted around 3 days last time...

[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Mojave VirtualSMC, I2C Trackpad, Clover UEFI Hotpatch

Yep, the stock CX2-GB1024-Q11 from LiteOn for Dell. It should be in 512 for sure. I installed OSX clean after repartitioning he whole drive in APFS and then once in Mojave I slimmed it down to install windows. I just popped in a HP EX920 1TB that I had sitting on my desk. I could swap back to...

[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Mojave VirtualSMC, I2C Trackpad, Clover UEFI Hotpatch

I might pop in a spare NVME, it being lite on for one is pissing me off and for two I believe the spare ADATA supports 4k. Plus then I can revert to this drive if Monday comes and I need a setup version of Windows back to do work. Annoying thing is this drive benchmarks very well. I'm on ACHI...

[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Mojave VirtualSMC, I2C Trackpad, Clover UEFI Hotpatch

1 According to the dell checks, it is supposedly good. Do you recommend another check? Edit: Crystal Disk Info says the drive is in good health, 100%. 2 I used the kext for non 4k drive from OP, though I did not check in a linux distro if it was 4k capable and Pike's fix for LiteOn. Should I...

[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Mojave VirtualSMC, I2C Trackpad, Clover UEFI Hotpatch

Ok, Clover has lost OSX again, which I assume is either from a Window's update somehow or OSX got corrupted, again, despite me never being on it today. The **** part is I always end up having to reinstall windows and configure it again to get OSX reinstalled. Can someone please help point me in...

[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Mojave VirtualSMC, I2C Trackpad, Clover UEFI Hotpatch

Ok I think I solved this with Pike's updated fix from Feb. Now, I can't seem to get the internal EFI to boot after updating to 10.14.5 from 10.14.2, but I can boot fine from USB. I tried repasting my Clover and everything to the internal EFI, managed to break windows, but it still doesn't seem...

[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Mojave VirtualSMC, I2C Trackpad, Clover UEFI Hotpatch

Hmm, okay I can't seem to figure this out. I am running the Clover 3.2 build (though the same behavior happened on old builds as well) with a modification to use my LiteOn NVME. Compiled SSDT-NVME.aml pointed towards the proper PCIE slot. That's all I've edited, and I included the same fix as...

[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Mojave VirtualSMC, I2C Trackpad, Clover UEFI Hotpatch

Huh, AFAIK OSX did not update (automatic updates are turned off) and I did not open clover config, so that should not have updated, but OSX is missing from Clover on boot. It's also missing from clover when I boot from my USB installer I used last week. Any ideas?

Anyone have any luck with multiple displays on the 9560? I can't seem to get the WD15/Intel 630 to do anything but mirror with two external monitors, lid closed. It's very frustrating. I also still cannot get WD15's ethernet adapter working, despite it seeing it. I did some searches and have...

[Guide] Dell XPS 15 9560 MacOS 10.14.1 (all models)

Couple questions. Big one, I cannot get the WiFi card to work and I am using the same card as OP. I am using 10.14.2. Any ideas on what I can try? Lastly, it says there is no track pad and I don't seem to be able to adjust the track pad mouse speed?
