Scratching my head...
Finally made the move to install OSX on this motherboard which I have. Credits to @pastrychef for this great support.
I did all the essential steps.
1. Made the UniBeast stick
2. Copied over the EFI folder from the #1 post.
3. The BIOS stuff, enable/disable
4...
Forgive my ignorance, or maybe you already figured it out.
But the 8xxx series is the 8th generation, and the z270 motherboard are 7th generation. So.. no match.
You'll either need a z370 board for your 8400 cpu,
or a 7xxx cpu series for your z270 motherboard.
Just have to say, great build.
I have a similar setup (same motherboard but without WiFi), running Windows on it unfortantly, because of a software I use for rendering can only use CUDA cores on Windows, but not on OSX. Whenever that change I'm switching directly.
Again, great work!
After a sucessfull install and usage. Im at this point...
Dont know if this has todo with me trying to update the USB-C Firmware to Thunderbolt 3. Stuck at that f&#&ing reboot twice **** in Windows, piece of crap, Gigabyte support is very limited also.
Although I have "TBT USB3.1 Force Power"...
Been a few months.. :)
Just to share with you, I'm running a i5-7600k (it was cheaper then 6600) with this motherboard. No issues.
Had to fake the CPUID to Skylake, and remove all my *Sensors* kexts unfortanly for my HWMonitor.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeees!!!!!!!
Success... *Sensors* in Extentions/ removed.
Ofcourse my litte cool hwmonitor isnt working in the menubar. I was expecting that, hope there is a solution to that... but that's anthor problem
