10900k radeon 6800xt headless - turn off turn on. screen

This happens to me as well after upgrading to Ventura, was all good in terms of graphics on Monterey. I haven't done full test yet but locking monitor to your target refresh rate instead of auto seems to fix this issue.

[Success] AMD RX6000 Series working in macOS

Personally I think Geekbench score is not really that important. After the optimization the score does not change significantly, but real world work difference is night and day.

[Success] AMD RX6000 Series working in macOS

Yes, it seems iGPU still co-work with dGPU in FCP. So far I haven't seen any negative effects so I still keep it.

[Success] AMD RX6000 Series working in macOS

Just upgraded my Vega64 to 6800XT and here are some experiences I would like to share. *SMBIOS and Final Cut rendering My CPU is 10900K so naturally iMac20,2 SMBIOS should be the best choice. But after config my iGPU to headless, the system works but FCP stutters here and there and rendering...

    Gobias’s Comet Lake Build: Prime Z490-A - i7-10700K - RX 6600 - macOS Ventura & Windows 11 Pro

Some of them are kept from previous build, but I only enable minimum kexts, SSDTs for this build, so I guess that's no issue. The only thing I change when switching SMBIOS is just SMBIOS itself, rest of the OC config remains the same. I heard people are saying that iGPU are working at low freq...

Apple Announces M1 Ultra CPU, Mac Studio and Studio Display

I just got mine MacBook Pro 16 configured with M1 Pro / 32G unified memory / 16cores GPU / 1T Rom And I have to say I'm totally blown away... I connected to a 4K external monitor, run Win11 Arm VM, 2 browsers with multiple tabs, 4K Youtube video playing and playing StarCraft 2 under Rosetta 2...

    macOS 12.1 Update

Update went smoothly on my XPS 9570 using OC 0.7.6. However, this update broke Microsoft Outlook search function. And this happens on real Macs too. Please take caution if you use your hack as daily working machine. I'm now trying to find a way to rollback to 12.0.1...

    An iDiot's Guide To iMessage

Guys...I think I've found the last puzzle... Through all these years, I've only activate iMessage twice. One time it worked for no reason, but later after few months it stopped to work again. Another time was that I tried with my real iMac 2011 SN/MLB/UUID, it worked immediately. But I kinda...

    Mojave and Nvidia

I snipped my iMac 2011 27 for USD130 and another 130 for my 880M then threw in a 2600 for 30 two years ago. I guess the price around my region is a bit lower so I went all out for the best mxm Kepler card. And to be honest, I'm quite happy with my decision! This iMac beats any 2013 model in...

    Mojave and Nvidia

Funny thing is that, thanks to native Kepler driver, I'm able to repair a graphics broken iMac 2011 27' with a nVidia 880M. Besides eliminating the infamous graphics breaking issue, metal support allows this old Mac runs Big Sur flawlessly. Somehow I always wonder why nVidia decided to throw...

    Post macOS/OS X Geekbench Benchmarks

Do anyone notice much lower score on 10.15 than 10.14? I followed @mattystonnie 's guide It kinda still works but just boosts my score from absolute terrible to OK level. But definitely much lower than what I could get on 10.14 Same machine, same clover kexts build.

Post OS X Luxmark OpenCL Benchmarks

Low geekbench score is kinda a known issue after 10.14.5 However, I see no performance lose what so ever Besides, geekbench is just a benchmark meant for cross platform, but it doesn't reflect the real performance that well IMO

Post OS X Luxmark OpenCL Benchmarks

Actually from what I've experienced yours is most likely from Samsung. I suppose you haven't flashed the vBios and yet you've already pushed it to 950 Normally Hynix memories in 56 with 64 vBios's higher voltage is capped around 950 Unless you won the "Hynix lottery" or there's no way a Hynix...

Post OS X Luxmark OpenCL Benchmarks

Check your HBM2 vendor with GPU-Z and see whether it's from Hynix or Samsung. If it's from Hynix then sorry you're most likely not gonna get much OC from it. But if it's from Samsung, 1050MHz+ is mostly guaranteed. And if you want to OC your card to it's full potential, flash a Vega 64 vBios...
