    How to Fix iMessage

Adding my information here. Actually, I've been seeing this issue happening before April 9th. But back then it was on-off. Some day it will work and some days it wont (for like two weeks before the 9th). Since Last week, my contacts has been constantly red. Tried almost everything (going back...

How to get Wake-on-Lan working on Z77 boards with HP NC360T

I prefer to stick with the vanilla kext - my board (GA-X79-UD5) actually has an on-board intel chip (Intel 82579V) which didn't play very nice with the AppleIntelE1000e (older version I might presume). My guess is that the AppleIntel8254XEthernet will be solved in the future at some point (when...

HP NC360T - Network Intermittently Unresponsive

Got a bit frustrated with this, so I took a different approach. wrote a small application which pings a stable device on the network all the time and once it misses on more than two pings, it executes ifconfig <interface name> down && ifconfig <interface name> up. Note: The application needs to...

Best NIC for heavy loads (6-8TB backups)? (the ones that don't die from overheating).

After removing the DSDT injection I followed this tutorial: http://www.tonymacx86.com/network/72082-how-get-wake-lan-working-z77-boards-hp-nc360t-3.html#post529098 (is this the one you were referring to?): Any my NC360T is now looks like that (as en0 & en1): But the same problem still...

How to get Wake-on-Lan working on Z77 boards with HP NC360T

Well, funny enough I'm almost in the same situation for the past 2 months, and I can't seem to find a solution. I'm running Mavericks 10.9.1 on GA-X79-UD5 (F12 BIOS). I have the exact issue (Time Machine over the network to FreeNAS). I have two cards (one is NC360T the other one is the...

HP NC360T - Network Intermittently Unresponsive

I have the same issue. My NC360T is detected as en0 & en1, OB-LAN (GA-X79-UD5 F12 bios) is disabled. en0 & en1 is achieved via DSDT edit. followed the posts mentioned, removed the DSDT edit and did injection instead, the issue still exists. help anyone? Thanks.

I have the same issue. @neuroman - can you please put a link or explanation to the method you used? BTW: My NC360T is detected as en0 & en1, OB-LAN (GA-X79-UD5 F12 bios) is disabled. en0 & en1 is achieved via DSDT edit. Thanks.

Fix it in windows7 : Regedit -> HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\TimeZoneInformation Create a Dword: RealTimeIsUniversal with a value of 1 or run: Reg add HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation /v RealTimeIsUniversal /t REG_DWORD /d 1 And then reboot. re-sync the time in...

    Interim ALC898 edited Lion AppleHDA.kext

The echo effect - IMHO it's from a resource (IRQ?) issue on your GA-X79-UD5 (I had a simliar issue). Try this: go into the bios, disable the onboard 1394 (FW) boot back to OSX - your echo should be gone. then go back into the bios and you can turn back on the 1394 (FW).

paumm2006, check my post at: http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?p=374988#p374988 You need to create a bootable USB for installing Lion (if you don't have an already installed SL you wish to upgrade). Checkout the Unibeast guide here...

Chimera v1.9.2 r1394 - Incorrect CPU speed detection

Chimera v1.9.2 r1394 (installed using MultiBeast v4.4.1) in incorrectly detecting the CPU speed. The CPU is Intel Core i7 - 3930K with a stock speed of 3.2Ghz and Turbo up to 3.8Ghz. Lion 10.7.4 reports this as 3.5Ghz - but according to this post...

    Lion on GA-X79-UD5

My old Hack (GA-EP45-UD3R) is still running with Chameleon. I actually like the MultiBeast ease of controlling what to install, but I still manually control some of the things. For instance - the AppleHDA, I choose (in this iteration) of my testings to install it manually - so I have better...

    Lion on GA-X79-UD5

didn't do any geekbench for the system as I'm more focused on the real-life results (in this case Lightroom 4.1 RC2 :) ). I'll run a bench later this weekend and update. Geekbench score: 15832 (I don't think 31 points make much difference). I moved my BIOS to stock again for the test...
