I have a sabertooth x58 with a Realtek® 8110SC. I am using the Realtek 2.0.6 drivers. I also have EthernetBuiltIn=Yes in my chameleon.boot.plist
It takes about 10-15 seconds after login to connect. So any apps on startup like Steam throws an no internet error.
Any way to solve this...
Thank you for the work. I have attached my modified 10.8.2 alc892 kext in case anyone else needs it. It switches the Digital Audio Out to use the SPDIF Header instead of the TOSLink. Followed the #7 instructions in the customization tutorial.
Working for SPDIF Headers.
I took your AppleHDA for 892 and made a SPIF Header version. (Used for GFX audio/hdmi) version.
Outputs audio out of my gtx285.
I also am reading http://www.tonymacx86.com/hdmi-audio/70765-mountain-lion-hdmi-audio.html.
So far no luck. I am starting the hdmi guide fresh with stock appleHDAs. It doesn't look like the GTX285 is compatible with that thread. Not sure what to at this point.
Hmm seems my 285 isn't...
Just replying for future google readers. I have installed it fine on my sabertooth. You need to set PCIRootUID=0 to get to the installer if you get a black screen or your display sleeps.
I did a fresh ML install.
I also had a very slow boot and shutdown speed compared to Lion. I had to use the...
Following this guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/67763-ml-optimized-realtek-applehda-preview-alpha.html
I started with the DSDT for 1304 bios in the database. I had to add a missing section for Toleda HDef, it was missing
Method (_PRW, 0, NotSerialized)
{...
I have been running Lion for quite some time without an issue. I updated to 10.7.4 then I ran Multibeast. I installed FakeSMC because it was updated, and Realtek Networking drivers.
Now I am getting a KP on boot. No KP if I boot with rboot. So I deleted AppleHDA because I modified that a while...
If you guys have a sabertooth x58, redownload the DSDT (updated 10-21-2011), it was bad. That is why my audio wasn't working.
Here is a working kext I patched.
Requires DSDT edit:
{
Name (_ADR, 0x001B0000)
Method (_PRW, 0, NotSerialized)
{...
I figured that out 2 hours before you replied. As soon as I changed the DSDT to another one from insanelymac (the one I PMed you about the differences) my audio started working. I been frustrated trying to get audio working with several different kexts and HDef edits and then I finally decided...
I did a diff compare to my DSDT to the one in the database. It ended up identical. The addresses and everything the same. The dsdt in the database just renamed a bunch of stuff.
The code I posted is a HDef entry I found for the ALC892, there are a couple of versions for it, I don't know the...
Anyone get it working. Even my working 10.7.0 kext is not working on 10.7.2, tried the 10.7.2 kext for alc892 on kext.com, doesn't work (tried with/without the dsdt edit posted).
Here is the pin config for my sabertooth x58. need lineout and spdif/hdmi working.

Asus Sabertooth x58 Unmodified files. I don't know how to patch yet, so these are original. Running 1304 Bios, 6gb 3x2gb ram with Core i7 920 overclock to 3.4ghz installed. Also gtx285 installed.
I am trying to find a tutorial to patch DSDT and if I am patch it, will post modified files.
