How long did you wait? My hack needed round about 10 minutes to bring the screen back up again. I was so glad that I waited. If you just pressed the reset button, you probably need to do a reinstall.

Did you try it with just one memory module? Just to confirm the modules are good. Sometimes that's what panics causes, bad / faulty memory modules.

How fast ist your 970 Pro? I've just got 2600 MB/s reading and 2550 MB/s writing. Don't know what to do to get better results.

You put that on ground for example FW GND (PIN2). I did not try it but probably the PIN10 USB GND works too. Please correct me if I am wrong here. Thanks
