Thanks for the heads up @zap737! It's been a busy few months so I haven't had a chance to update OpenCore for a while now but your post motivated me to finally bring everything up to date with OC 0.9.9. I also took the opportunity to make some additional adjustments as well: 1. Enabled...

ASUS prime Z370-A Big Sur 11.2 sleep problem

It's not clear what you're asking. FYI, if you're using my EFI folder as a basis for your build, you shouldn't need FakeSMC as VirtualSMC is already installed. Even if you installed FakeSMC and related kexts in the OC folder, OpenCore won't load them unless you modify the config.plist file.

Great! Looks like you need this: https://github.com/chris1111/Wireless-USB-OC-Big-Sur-Adapter

[Success] Install Ventura on the HP ProDesk 600 G3 with OC 0.8.6

I have sleep working fine using HD630 graphics on two separate machines. There are a lot of parameters that have to be properly patched in order to get sleep working properly, as described in the Dortania Post-Install guide...

Nope, your memory is sharp as a tack! :) There is a kernel quirk DisableRtcChecksum that blocks 0x58-0x59. However, HP's also write to 0xDE-0xDF so the quirk alone didn't fix the BIOS boot error for me and I had to go the trial and error route to find the offending memory locations.

[Success] Install Ventura on the HP ProDesk 600 G3 with OC 0.8.6

In addition to the response provided by @UtterDisbelief, my EFI is for a Core i5-8500 Coffee Lake CPU while yours is an i5-6500T Skylake CPU. Dortania has different instructions for building a config.plist for your CPU, including the AAPL,ig-platform-id for the HD530. In addition, my SSDT's...

You will need to add the RTCMemoryFixup kext and define the memory addresses to exclude. The kext can be found here: https://github.com/acidanthera/RTCMemoryFixup/releases Unfortunately, it's a trial and error process, as described here...

RTC crash occurring only during macOS software update reboots

Thanks for the quick reply @P1LGRIM. My config.plist is similar except that I had to block 58 and 59 as well (it was harder to find them all when the offending addresses are so far apart...)

RTC crash occurring only during macOS software update reboots

I'm struggling with a hardware compatibility issue that's got me befuddled. I got a newly acquired HP ProDesk 600 Microtower up and running smoothly on macOS Sonoma using OpenCore 0.9.6. One of the issues I encountered while setting up the machine was the infamous RTC memory crash at boot-up...

Bummer. Since the iGPU doesn't have this issue, I thought perhaps forcing the resolution in config.plist would solve the problem. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Hmm, maybe try to manually enter your 4K screen resolution (3840 x2160) in place of "Max" in your config.plist under UEFI > Output > Resolution.

There are some old posts circa 2010 about this problem on real Macs. You could try to reset NVRAM from the OpenCore boot screen and then manually setting the resolution in Control Center while logged in as an administrator: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2353284...

Wow, I'm seriously out of date if Re-Bar was added back in 2021! ;) On the positive side, my Hackintosh has been impressively stable since I converted to OpenCore to the point that I've never really needed to boot into BIOS. :D

Out of curiosity, I rebooted into my BIOS settings and I couldn't find Resizable BAR. I'm running an older version of the BIOS (2401), however, so that may be the reason. I never updated my BIOS because "why fix it if it ain't broke?" ;) It also seems to be a bit confusing to me because...

I'm glad you were able to figure it out! To be honest, I haven't fiddled with my BIOS settings in so long that I don't even remember there being a Resizable Bar setting in there.
