I've tried all of the above with no success. I've noticed for me this CrashReporter taking up 50% of mu CPU and the VDCAssistant crashing in console only starts after opening Chrome, until then it's fine. Quitting chrome doesn't help though, requires restart.
I have a 2011 Sandy Bridge 11 inch Macbook Air, with an 1.8GHz i7 (a made to order version).
A Late 2007 Macbook Pro 15", 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo.
And a eMac which doesn't work.
I know this is a old thread but I'm trying to find a better solution for the same issue. A temporary solution that works for me is turning up the underscan. It doesn't actually underscan and fixes the overlapping.
It just showed up for sale in New Zealand.

Hey Guys
I've been running this system for about 3 months now and have always had the same problem. It's kind of 2 problems which I'll explain. Before I move on I should point out that I have a Asus P8Z77-V Pro motherboard and I'm using the "Without DSDT ALC892" and "With DSDT ALC892" kexts...
Will the new Corsair H80i work in a Hackintosh. As you can see here http://youtu.be/6cga1NfqA5A it has a USB cable, I assume this connects to some windows software. Obviously this software won't be available on a hackintosh. Will it still work?
Cheers
On my machine sleep works whenever I go Apple>Sleep or press the power button but using the 'timer' (the settings in energy saver) it doesn't. After the allocated time my displays turn off but my system does not sleep. I installed "PleaseSleep"...
I flashed by ASUS P8Z77-V Pro when I built this (about a month ago) and it's working great!
The only problem is, whenever I press sleep, my displays go black and all my fans keep spinning forever. Then I have to crash the machine. Any solutions to this?
