ok, I got it going. I had missed that I still had e1000=0 as a boot arg. Removed that and the native Apple VTD mapped it. Weird though that it appears in settings as 2 wifi networks even though one of them is clearly ethernet. in any case, it's working.
Thanks again!
I appreciate the time you took to write that. I did look. I read through all the posts on this thread. I didnot think that a Ventura problem would be covered related to Monterey. Again, thanks
hi! your gigabyte board uses the I-225V lan chip as well, right? Have you upgraded to Ventura final? When I did I lost the lan entirely. Im using the OpenCore guide and the I-225V chip has worked well for a long time but now I can't get it to work.
Anyone using a z490 prime a board with the I-225v ethernet chip? Mine has been rock solid through the Ventura betas but now with Ventura final it's gone.
yeah I got in shortly after posting that. I forgot that I had left a -uia_exclude flag as a boot option. doh! Just tried to update to clover 5070 and that killed it so had to revert back to 4630. Fragile!
I tried to use the hackintool to get my USB ports working at USB3 speed. It generated 3 .aml files that I put into my EFI folder and now my USB ports don't work at all (meaning mouse and keyboard are not working). I'm typing this from Windows.
I've since mounted the EFI partition and deleted...
When I've done reboots to install updates I see the boot log say something about cpu not supported, power management may not work, etc. It goes by too fast to see if it says that on a normal boot. Is there any place where the boot log is stored so I can go back and read it after a normal boot...
I'm on Mojave latest update. Using a 4k tv as monitor and about 40% of the time when I have to reboot the system comes up normally but the tv is not an audio option. A reboot always fixes it. Any idea what might be going on there?
My hack is working well. Sleep doesn't work but everything else seems fine. Video card is RX580. Skylake processor. Asrock Z170 board.
Any links/guides/tips on upgrading to 10.14.3?
I want to image my entire drive to USB so I can restore if things go sideways.
Thanks!
Working High Sierra install here. I don't have sleep working though I haven't really tried hard to get it working. Just wondering what issues I may hit with the Mojave update.
I'm running a Skylake Intel cpu on z170m chipset with AMD RX 580 vid card.
I'm going to image my drive to a second...
