    GTX 770 4GB Hackintosh

I was experiencing kernel panics and random freezes with my GTX 770 4GB, however solved the problem after removal and reseating the card. The card is fairly heavy and large, it doesn't take much for this thing to come out a bit (least on my Z87MX g5 case) Posted here...

    Random Freezes - GA-Z87 HD3 / GTX 770 (4GB) / i7 4770k

I began experiencing similar issues with my Z87MX-DH3 i74700 build. I have a GTX 770 4g (which barely fits in my modified g5 case, lol). I began experienced kernel panics at boot (after several attempts the OS would boot) and random freezes in the OS. I tried several suggestions I read and began...

    My Complete G5 Case Mod

This project has been a roller coaster for me...sold my '09 27" iMac in July. Couldn't afford another iMac, then decided to build a hack but was lured to the dark side by a sweet deal to get a new haswell HP Phoenix Envy 800-030qe (they were running a summer sale, so it was only about 900...

    How to Fix iMessage

Just wanted to say this solution still works with 10.9 Mavericks. I had to use the original FileNVRAM jaymonkey attached, the newer one posted didn't work.

    Random Freezing: Z87MX-DH3

I thought ram too, I removed a stick and so far so good. It's been running for about 3 hours without any hangs. My problem is likely related to non matching pairs of ram. I purchased this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0ST08P6221 Had this laying around...

    Random Freezing: Z87MX-DH3

My new hackintosh 10.8.5 build is working, however I'm getting random freezes. Specs: Z87MX-DH3 (bios version f2) 3.4 i7 4700 (for some reason the bios reports the CPU frequency as running at 3.69, as does 'About this Mac'. Everything is set to auto in bios) 32gb 1600 ram OCZ Agility III SSD...

    10.8.5 Reboot At Apple Screen

Wanted to update if anyone was curious. I was successfully able to swap the board out and get a working install of 10.8.5. The only trick was the stock HP liquid cooler was screwed to the stock board (D3H uses push connections), so I had to do some tweaking to get it to work. Everything else...

    10.8.5 Reboot At Apple Screen

Decided the easiest way through this is to pick up a recommended board. Ordered a GA-Z87MX-D3H. I'm going to be modifying this: http://www.shopping.hp.com/en_US/home-office/-/products/Desktops/HP-ENVY/D6M11AV. I purchased this in August (with a great HP coupon for only about 900 bucks) to...

    10.8.5 Reboot At Apple Screen

Went on a hunch based on other threads that it might be graphics related, pulled my card and enabled on board but produced the same result. I still have no idea what is causing this. Help!

    10.8.5 Reboot At Apple Screen

Hi, I know a lot of folks have reported troubles with 10.8.5 haswell installs, unfortunately I have been searching since my trouble started and haven't been able to find a solution. For me (clean install attempt), I boot to Chimera from the USB stick, and as soon as I select the USB drive I...

    Lan, Wifi and Bluetooth

UPDATE 2: Interesting, while poking around system profiler i've found it locates my internal bluetooth controller under USB. It's identifying it correctly as BCM20702A0 Broadcom Corp. The final section lists "Current Required MA: Unknown (device has not been configured). Any thoughts?
