Sorry, in advance, for my newbie questions:
I'm just looking for a little guidance on your post:
1. What format is the bootable USB Flash drive
2. When you say "reboot from your primary drive" I assume you mean your MacOS drive?
Anybody out there with any anecdotal information regarding the Corsair Bulldog High Performance Barebone . It is a prepackaged package that comes with Intel Gigabyte Z170N-WiFi Motherboard w/ USB 3.0 Type-C and 802.11ac Wi-Fi. Looks to be similar to Gigabyte GIGABYTE GA-Z170N-WIFI (rev. 1.0)...
I upgraded from Yosemite, and also installed Clover. Install basically went well. My configuration is a system with a 120GB startup SSD and a 1TB SATA Hard Drive as the Data drive. So I backed up (through Time Machine) entire system, erased the SSD, and did a clean install of El Capitan and...
Thanks for the suggestion...it basically brought me to this post. I'm not sure why they posted this motherboard as a compatible motherboard without any credible proof that it actually works fully. As far as I can tell, nobody has gotten it to work well. I guess the "rule" is to wait until a...

Thanks for your succinct post. Do you have any idea if these settings/methods will work for Asrock Z97 Extreme6? Haven't been able to get MB to recognize the install (which seemingly went well until I tried to boot from the disk).
Thanks in advance for any insights.
Follow up to above...seems to be a MB BIOS issue (I'm guessing).
I used the USB UniBeast method to install Yosemite on one of the HDD (not SSD). Asrock will not see it as a bootable drive. Any suggestions?
