iMac Pro X299 - Live the Future now with macOS 10.14 Mojave [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Yes, everything is working... You need active adapters, if you want to connect DVI/HDMI displays. With passive adapters there are hotplug issues.

iMac Pro X299 - Live the Future now with macOS 10.14 Mojave [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

yes, I can do this on Monday, cause I'm very busy the next two days. Maybe let's move over to one of the C422 threads to discuss.

iMac Pro X299 - Live the Future now with macOS 10.14 Mojave [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

I tried the SSDT-X299-Vega64.aml implementation and it is also working. I initially thought the Vega FE approach could be the better solution because the WX 9100 is very similar to the Vega FE. But anyway, I keep the Vega64 implementation. Thank you. @pieropontra yes, it is an expensive card...

iMac Pro X299 - Live the Future now with macOS 10.14 Mojave [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Yep, all 6 ports are DP, no HDMI. So Kamerang (3x DP, 1x HDMI) is the wrong framebuffer. I tried with Wenamu (6x DP), the only one I found, which shows up properly in IOreg. But then I got hotplug issues. Actually there is no problem with WEG and my SSDT. I was just wondering if anybody out...

iMac Pro X299 - Live the Future now with macOS 10.14 Mojave [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Hi all, does anybody has a well working SSDT implementation for the Radeon Pro WX 9100? This is mine at the moment, but I need Whatevergreen to make all 6 MiniDP outputs work. Scope (PEGP) { Device (EGP0) { Name (_ADR, Zero) // _ADR: Address...

How to extend the iMac Pro to X99 [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

1.) ok, thanks... 2.) I don't need this patch. Maybe because I got only 6 cores... 3.) But it is different. Slot-1 (upper-most) is BR3A on my mainboard. See screenshot. Do you have stable idle frequencies with your CPU?

How to extend the iMac Pro to X99 [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Just updated one of my older rigs (Haswell-E i7-5820K, X99-A II unlocked MSR). Everything is working so far. XCPM looks good (machdep.mode and machdep.loaded_vectors_count), but CPU frequencies are jumping around in idle. Tried all kernel patches in different combinations, best result for me at...

How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

I cannot confirm this. I can connect 4 displays to the Vega: 3 4K via DisplayPort and one HD via HDMI. Actually the 3 4Ks are not displays but Datapath FX4 interfaces where I can program EDIDs. But all sink devices are recognised properly by macOS, see screenshot. Maybe it is an EDID and/or...

How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

As said this guide works for both X299 and C422, so there is no need for a separate guide. I investigated the IOregs of the Asus Prime X299 and the Supermicro C422. They are identical in many parts. Again thank you for your work @kgp Most likely the Skylake-X CPUs will be natively supported...

How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

The Supermicro boards are solid and stable mainboards. No onboard fancy RGB LEDs and all that useless stuff ;) I'm building machines for heavy production use, so I recommend Xeons and ECC RAM. There is a reason why Apple always used these components in their pro workstations. Installation is...

How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

My new build is a bit different: Xeon W-2155 Supermicro X11SRA AMD Vega FE 10.13.2 Got everything running thanks to your guide. At the moment I also cannot boot without FakeCPUID. Just injecting plugin type via SSDT, PM seems ok but not perfect. Seems like one last piece is missing. And I...

CustoMac Desktop USB Fixes - 10.11+ Reference

Hello. I recently updated my X99 system from 10.11.6 to 10.12.6. Now X86PlatformPlugin.kext is not loading any more, which means PM is broken. I found this in log: com.apple.driver.X86PlatformPlugin: The following symbols are unresolved for this kext. com.apple.driver.X86PlatformPlugin...

    Ask Rehabman Questions on OS-X-Fake-PCI-ID

No, did not forget that. Actually the SmallTree driver is working with FakePCIID and FakePCIID_Intel_GbX. I was trying to make it work without FakePCIID but with SSDT edits. I injected the subsystem-id 0a into the device and I also can see the change correctly in IOreg. But the SmallTree driver...

    Ask Rehabman Questions on OS-X-Fake-PCI-ID

I got an Intel X540-T1 10Gbit card and it is working well with PCIFakeID. Now I was wondering if it is possible to spoof the subsystem id via SSDT edit to make the SmallTree driver work. Like this: Device (PCI1) { Name (_ADR, Zero) Method...
