Yes, but I think USBPorts.kext is one way of mapping (the one I'm using right now), and SSDT-UIAC is a different way of getting the same result.
So it's USBPorts.kext OR SSDT-UIAC+USBInjectAll.kext, both approaches resulting in the same ports configuration that was created in Hackintool.
Really weird, system's been stable for 12h+ now - it's as if some setting or memory flushed and now all is back to normal, with the same configs and same USB layout.
Thank you for noticing my thread so quickly! I actually am using just the USBPorts.kext (with other two disabled).
So I have the following enabled:
SSDTs:
- SSDT-PLUG.aml (from Dortania website)
- SSDT-USBX.aml (from previous build)
- SSDT-AWAC.aml (from Dortania website)
Kexts:
- Lilu.kext...
Can't seen to find a thread that would talk about this - I had a fairly stable system with USBInject+UIAC combo for many months, but after upgrading 11.3.1 I can't sort out USB and power issues.
I'm still running the rig described in my profile, with recent addition of the Inateck KT4004 card...
Since 11.3.1 upgrade I'm mostly impacted by a different issue: Fenvi Wi-Fi stops working (and ports on the Inateck card), but Bluetooth on same Fenvi card keeps working and if I move a USB device from Inateck port to the one on the front of the PC case - it works again.
It sounds like a mapping...
Thanks a lot for your update. I'm staying on the same RX580 8GB.
BIOS reset and power management disabled, but still freezes - they clearly started with 11.3.x updates, and are present here even after 11.4 upgrade.
I simplified USB ports (disconnected a few internal things) and USBports.kext...
I think I'll have to reset BIOS as well, cause after one of the recent reboots system became instable and is freezing every few minutes after booting up.
USB ports are limited properly now, but WiFi on the add-on card stops working very quickly. Bluetooth on the same card keeps working!
I...
UPDATE. The Inateck 4-port PCI card arrived but coincided with my 13.3.1 upgrade that broke everything (no USB and quite regular freezing that prompts power cycle).
I've just completed the motherboard USBmapping, need to somehow map Inateck PCI card ports as well - because without USBInjectAll...
Right. Just to clear this up - think my USBPorts.kext was messed up, the model at the bottom of the file was somehow set to a wrong value. This may have been because with primary disk of Big Sur not working (USB issues), I was booting from my previous OS backup which is Mojave and used different...
Thanks for that. Removed it (disabled in OpenCore) but still getting too many ports. 15 now, so it's better than it was before, but they're not the ones I implicitly enabled in USBPorts.kext...
I also disabled SSDT-EC-USBX.aml and it didn't help.
So what I'm getting is HS01 through HS14 and...
We're getting somewhere... I edited the USBPorts.kext and it boots with everything I need but then suddenly Bluetooth/WiFi card disappears (it's one of them PCI add-ons that gets connected to the motherboard via USB cable) and a bit later my LG 5K display also loses camera and microphone (they...
Thanks for the reminder, yes I'm disabling the XhciPortLimit.
I'm not using USBInjectall anymore - so I'm booting with USBPorts.kext that I'm mostly happy with and just want to tweak it as I'm missing a port or two.
Yes, Info.plist is the way to go - just learned the integer codes for port...
Does anyone else get this weird behavior when Hackintool (even latest v3.5.3) fails to load USB ports from USBPorts.kext correctly?
I complete the mapping, save the file. Reboot the box and when loading the file end up not with what was saved but with about 20 ports instead. At the same time it...
