Apple Reveals macOS 10.14 Mojave at WWDC - Available Fall 2018

It's down to $500 currently for Sapphire, PowerColor, and Gigabyte Vega 56 models. MSI is $520. Still an annoying markup for a $400 card, but far far better than the $1000 it was a few months ago. I think I might go for it.

Safari crashes when playing (some) videos in 10.12.6

Normally I have the iGPU disabled and only use my graphics card (R9 280x). That time, I forgot to disable it. So I disabled it. I never got a flashing white/orange/black screen though, just the Safari video freeze.

Apple-recommended AMD Graphics Cards for eGPU Use - macOS High Sierra 10.13.4+

As you mention, they already exist, and indeed have existed for quite some time now. That's what they look like. No. Apple has nothing to do with them, aside from writing software so they function on Macs. They're made for computers (notebooks mainly) that aren't upgradable. Gaming is...

Vega Frontier Edition on High Sierra

Nice, I could replace my R9 280X which has been working nicely for a long time, but is starting to get a little limiting. I saw a couple Vega 56 cards on newegg the other day for $400, too. Maybe the price gouging is finally over. Probably wait for 10.13.2 public release, or maybe 10.13.3.

    macOS 10.12.6 Update

I don't think you can anymore. There was a whole thing about Sierra not being available since High Sierra came out. It's certainly not in my purchased list, though 10.11, 10.10, and 10.9 are.

ati 6850 another no sleep and moving to nvidia

You seem really confused...you simply turn the computer off. Booting from SSD takes very little time. Sleep worked with 10.9 here, it stopped working when I upgraded to 10.12, however I also got an SSD, and can't say that I miss sleep much. Even if it worked, I doubt I'd use it much anymore...

ati 6850 another no sleep and moving to nvidia

It makes lots of sense...ask yourself what exactly the point of sleep is, and if you can turn on your computer and have everything be back where it was in a short enough time, do you actually need sleep anymore? (The answer is "no, not really".)

Better off just getting a SSD, sleep becomes fairly pointless then.

Safari crashes when playing (some) videos in 10.12.6

I had some issues with my BIOS recently, so I zapped the settings. Shortly after that I had the Safari video freeze thing happen. But then I realized I forgot to disable the iGPU when I redid the BIOS settings, so I did that and everything's back to being 100% stable.

    macOS 10.12.6 Update

Kinda late, since I've been running 10.12.2 without any problems for some time, but it got to the point where I needed a newer Metal version so I decided to update to 10.12.6. Anyway my procedure was: 1) Downloaded an updated Clover from Sourceforge, and installed the package. Took a few...
