I noticed an issue recently when I started using my monitors in portrait for work. After cold boot the orientation of the screens was messed up. The main screen window is correctly set up because the cursor appears in the right position, but the underlying desktop screen was in landscape and at...
I ordered one a few days ago. Not the usb-c model, instead I ordered the mini display port model. The issue you see is that the dongle is required to be plugged into usb-c port that outputs video signal from the GPU. Your usb-c port is most likely a simple USB 3.1 port and that's about it. I'm...
The `NoVPA.jpeg.kext` is just a temporary solution to get quick look and preview working, the other solution is to enable iGPU, which I can do in bios but my system stops booting with the error message I mentioned in one of my the previous replies.
I would rather need a helping hand on the...
@JCMunsonII would you mind sharing your latest EFI folder (you can of course remove the serial number from the plist)?! I'm having trouble to get Quick Look and Preview working by enabling iGPU in bios. If I do that the boot process will simply stuck at "couldn't allocate runtime area". I'm...
Can you guys also mention how you're installing the new driver? I always use this script (https://github.com/Benjamin-Dobell/nvidia-update), but I haven't installed the latest drivers yet.
I just got a notification that nVidia pushed a new set of web drivers for macOS 10.13.6.
Has anyone installed them yet (387.10.10.15.15.108)?
I know where to download the `.pkg` but I can't find any changelog online. Would be nice if someone could share a link.

- Rebooted -> tonymacx theme disappeared -> can no longer boot into the system
- Rebooted with `-v` flag -> hangs always at `End RandomSeed ++++++`
- Searched for the issue (some `*.efi` files were deleted)
- Extracted those...
If you followed the thread then you'd know that not everyone here is comfortable with compiling those kexts. I just corrected some folks that suggested to install outdated versions of the kexts while the majority in here talked about the compiled version, but I'm cool. ;)
Here is the commit that includes the workaround:
https://github.com/lvs1974/NvidiaGraphicsFixup/commit/2548a94bce9fe38e855ca17f19bea05978938cd7
You can read through the comments bellow. The one you've asked for in particular is this:
Download Lilu source code and compile...
Please do not spread wrong information. Everyone here is talking about the newest version of the kexts (Lilu 1.2.3 and NvidiaGraphicsFixup 1.2.5). Downloading and installing kexts from the releases won't include the workaround patch for the lags. The kext must be compiled since there is no...
