Is there backwards compatibility towards older OS, like Yosemite?

I got the same problem with the LG-10LS38. Today I have flashed the FW drive from version 1.00 to version 1.03. I will post the out come because I also had some random wake and I would like to see if the two problems are related to each other (random wakes and random access to the drive).
