Ok...so it was a Hard Drive that I recently swapped in.
I had an old 3TB Seagate Barracuda that was dying on me so I got a 4TB Samsung QVO SSD. In order to make the data transfer from the dying HDD into the SSD I took another drive out of the case and put the new SSD in.
When I finished...
Hello dear community,
My High Sierra build was working flawlessly until yesterday night and today I woke up to this problem...the infamous Prohibited sign on startup.
This is what verbose mode threw up:
Starting in Safe mode is possible but as we know I can't mount the EFI partition.
Can...
[SOLVED] The .rom file inside the x64 folder was an application in itself. Executed that file and flashed BIOS successfully!! Let's hope now that the black outs dissappear!! :) Thanks again
By the way- just tried the dw link you posted and I keep getting the same error message as before.

Any ideas?
P.s.: also tried flashing in safe mode...same error
Oh, yeh. We have the same GPU :)

What I’m now going crazy about is the random black screens on my 4k...

The other question is why did you have to unplug your drives (which ones) to modify the Thunderbolt BIOS...
Hi all,
I think it's time for an upgrade. I've been a happy owner of Hacki since 2013. It never left me hanging but now I'm starting to work with bigger soundlibraries and I can't expand the ram so I thought it'd be a good time to upgrade the whole system. Actually to build a new and more...
