    AppleIntelE1000e broken

After several, non-Hackintosh, days I decided to look further and stumbled into IntelMausiEthernet. "Our" site has version 2.4, which I installed but my Ethernet was slow. A friends site (https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/304235-intelmausiethernetkext-for-intel-onboard-lan) has version...

    AppleIntelE1000e broken

After the macOS 10.15.3 update, AppleIntelE1000e seems to be broken (on my Hackintosh): ethernet stops working after wakeup from sleep. I did try what I did succesfully with other kexts: 1. Showed package contents 2. Entered Contents folder 3. Opened info.plist with Text-editor 4. Changed...

    macOS 10.15.3 Update

Most went well the 2nd time after forgetting the kextcache command lines the first time. Had to restore, before the 2nd time of coarse. When I applied the first command line, its output showed all non-signed kexts. I removed them & installed them in EFI | Kext | Other, which now has: -...

[Guide] How to hide unwanted volumes on Clover boot menu

Turns out that the GUI-solution is quite simple as stated above. I did: 1. Open the EFI partition with EFI Mounter v3 2. Open EFI>CLOVER>config.plist with Clover Configurator. 3. In Clover Configurator's GUI section: uncheck "Legacy" and add "Preboot" and "Recovery" to "Hide Volume". 4. Save...

    AMD RX580

After many weeks of waiting for an Nvidia webdriver, I decided to buy a 2nd hand MSI Radeon RX580 OC. It works out-of-the-box!

    AtherosL1cEthernet tweaked for High Sierra

Well... I'm not sure, because I did not install Mojave yet. My recipe, however (see "Bump to top"), is so simple that even I could do it, and should work under Mojave too.

Dual Monitors Don't Work Since Updating to 10.13.5

Ah, nice that it worked for you too!

Dual Monitors Don't Work Since Updating to 10.13.5

Thank's for your recommendation, but my Hack has been an iMac14,2 for a long time. This SysDef is apparently not a solution for every dual / mutiple monitor-problem.

Dual Monitors Don't Work Since Updating to 10.13.5

Dual monitor constantly gives me pain. Not only under macOS but also, the thingy is dual boot, under Windows 10. Today my resolution was to 1) unplug the 2nd monitor, 2) boot into macOS and 3) plug the 2nd monitor.

    macOS 10.13.4 Update

Updated without a glitch. (The update even corrected a long-time error. Finder-search on an NTFS-drive did not show filenames, but only questionmarks. Now search delivers correct results. Why? I don't know.)

    Poor man's hackintosh

Yes, I did that when I found out. Q6600 is a Kentsfield LGA 755 processor with only SSE4. Yorksfield quad's, e.g. Q8xxx, Q9x0x and Q9x5x, are compatible LGA 755 processors with SSE4.1. I would have bought it, but one of my "students" of my "computer maintenance" course seems to want the old PC.

    Poor man's hackintosh

Thanks. The NUC problem has resolved itself: My neighbours old computer had problems, which I resolved by swapping it for my NUC. So no more NUC-hackintosh efforts. (I replaced the PSU in his old computer and had it working again. The Q6600 CPU appeared to be not (High) Sierra capable.)
