    Similar to the OP I was looking at this HP Elite 8300 which comes with I7 3770 3.4 3RD GEN. Add a SSD and a second hand GTX 750 and this machine should fly with 10.11 and 10.12!     Yes I will be sticking with an i7. Is there any reason the HP will not work with Sierra 10.12? Is it the system or the CPU itself? I should therefore avoid any 3770 builds?

    If that is the case then I will have to build my own rig as per the custom builds. I was hoping to have the speedier i7 for video editing and encoding.
