Thank you for the advice. The reason I selected these specs as they are based on Apple's iMac which used a i5 2500, socket 1155 and shipped with Snow Leopard 10.6.6, you can see full specs over at everymac.com. This is the "End-of-Line" for Snow Leopard so I don't think anyone can do much better...

Thank you for explaining this. I was considering getting one or two of these for my systems and forgot the simple fact they were in fact going into a Hackintosh system. This should help many, who are like me, a great deal.

Just updated from ML 10.8.2 on a Gigabyte UD5H mobo, lost audio on reboot after installing the 10.8.3 via App store, ran MutiBeast again for the Realtek ALC898 sound driver. After that audio was up and running again, so far so good.
