I agree on all of the above other than I do think the .07v makes a difference in range in comparing the dongle directly connected to the back of the motherboard to the powered hub. Both where tested using the USB extension and not moving the dongle at all.
Either way, learned something (maybe...

I looked through and indeed have an extension. I will go with it for the time being but I want to report back on range once I can measure voltages. Even if I stick with the extension, which seems to be working well, I am intrigued to know if there's a physical distance.
The mouse and keyboard I...
Further testing.
-2012 Macbook Pro 15 running Catlina, plug in the USB dongle directly to the computer, range is approx 6 feet. No software installs or anything, just directly plugging it in.
-Dell XPS 13 laptop, plugging the dongle directly to the computer, range is approx 15 feet. No...
Updated the software, still the same. I will report back once I have the voltage tester to see if voltages are lower on OSX side vs. Windows and then make a decision from there.
The damnest thing is the USB range was working perfectly with 11.3 and a Radeon VII. When I switched to 11.4 and the...
Fair enough, but why the issue only on the Mac side and not Windows as well? I use Bluetooth regularly on Windows, actually, more regularly than with the OSX.
Ok, added/replaced all the three AML files you first suggested, still have the same symptoms. Next added the fourth aml file. Still same symptoms. Finally added the patches (first time doing this), still the same symptoms. I have to have my keyboard nearly butted up against the dongle for it to...
-HS11 is connected to my Bluetooth, correct.
-My case only has two USB 3.0 ports. It's a Riotoro CR1088 for to confirm I'm not missing something obvious.
-Hackintool screenshoot:
-I double checked all USB ports with 2.0 and 3.0 and everything seems right. I checked with both USB drives and...
Updated per your suggestions. Seemingly still have an issue. I'll test drive for a while but already the mouse is hit or miss. Luckily, I can run the mouse in Bluetooth mode and that seems to be working smoothly. While it is a viable workaround, I'd love to get to the bottom of this inconsistency.
This is all very helpful! I will make adjustments and report back.
I intentionally didn't include the USB-C as I never use the ports and didn't see a need in keeping them in my configuration. Would this be cause for concern?
I also intentionally don't have any of the physical USB 2.0 ports...
Hello all!
I have a stable Big Sur 11.4 Beta build that I had to remap the USB ports when switching from a Radeon VII to a 6900 XT, as the 6900 XT has a USB C port. Well, everything is working just peachy, other than my Logitech keyboard has to sit physically closer to the wireless USB...
Well that's an obvious and easy fix. Dramatically helped. Thank you so much!
While I have you attention, any other obvious bonehead mistakes in my config?
Thanks again!
