I have one more question. I know the RX 7900 XT isn’t supported but is there any way I could have one installed and deactivate it for MacOS?
So that I could use the GPU for Windows and the iGPU on the hackintosh?
But in that case I would lose all the changes I made to my config.plist file. Problem is I don't really remember everything I changed. But just looking at the Kernel tab there are a bunch of changed kext paths. Is changing them in the AMD file easier than changing the values in my original file...
Hey @CaseySJ
I recently upgraded my Hackintosh with a new RX 6800 (was using the iGPU before). I’m wondering which values I would have to adjust in the config.plist? Or should I make a new file from the AMD GPU config.plist file?
Thanks in advance!
Extensions folder has
HighPointIOP.kext
HighPointRR.kext
SoftRAID.kext
also the OS keeps crashing now every couple of minutes. Could it be any of the incompatible Drivers?
Thanks a lot!
Both the boot time and the drives being gone were fixed by disabling the IntelBluetooth kexts. Disabling both also fixed the WiFi issue.
The Intel USB port is the internal one? HS02? (on the Vision G)
I updated from Big Sur (from OpenCore 0.7.3) to OpenCore 0.7.9 and had everything working. Then proceeded to update to Monterey 12.3 and I am having some problems to say the least.
- Boot time has increased to about 5 minutes (on WD NVME).
- All drives except the boot drive are gone from...
Big Sur 11.6 (running as Mac20,1)
yes UHD630 with no other GPUs connected (I did connect the GTX 780 though when I only had 1 monitor connected if that matters)
I'm using 1 HDMI and 1 DP port on the Vision G
Dell U2412M (both)
Never had a problem with dual monitor setups on my OLD hackintosh...
Hi @CaseySJ
My build worked without a problem using one monitor but for some reason I get these artifacts on both screens whenever I boot into MacOS with both monitors connected. Booting with 1 monitor connected into MacOS and then connecting the 2nd screen fixes this. Unplugging both monitors...
Thanks for the reply. I haven’t done that, no. I guess I had assumed the USBInjectAll.kext would take care of that.
How do I enable the 2 internal ports? Since you also use the Vision G.
thanks
This worked almost perfectly. I got WiFi to run but BT doesn’t work unfortunately. It does work in Windows though. The internal USB port that I connected the BT card to doesn’t seem to register the device in MacOS. Could that have anything to do with a missing kexts?
BT doesn’t even show up in...
