I have an AsRock board. I was trying to see if I could get this to work on my system. First here are my parts:
2600K i7 Sandy Bridge
Asrock Z77 Extreme 4
AMD 6850
On the Asrock board the only option to select in bios is to boot to Internal Graphics first. I did that and I was able to get...
It is definitely possible. Like TRS96 said the bios settings is the important part. Before installing either OS follow the installation guide Step 3 about setting up bios for OS X. The main issue is that windows needs to install the AHCI version instead of the IDE version.
Another question: Does your motherboard have any video ports on it? If I googled the right one I didn't see any so even if you have the HD 3000 it won't do you any good.
Maybe I'm missing something, but didn't you say you have the i7 2600 not the i7 2600K? The 2600 doesn't have HD 3000 it has HD 2000, which wouldn't work.
Not sure what that has to do with anything??
I do agree with your other question though. Why are you using a Sandy board with Ivy chip? It is compatible, but usually better to be safe than sorry and go with an Ivy board.
As for what TRS said he is right if you were sticking with Snow...
Here are a few helpful links that might help make your decision easier. Everyone has their own preference between Nvidia and AMD. That's up to you. You said you wanted out of box compatibility and the 7870 is going to take a little bit more work than just pulling it out of the box. I included a...
I looked into doing that once. It would be very expensive. If you're serious about it check this out:

and to buy blocks in the right colors you can go to the lego shop and get just the blocks you need...
Great that you have a law degree, but as mentioned the US patent office seemed to think it had merit.
On another note I guess this makes it illegal for us to make our own apple chime on our hacks.
Everything that you read on this website tells you that you need to be patient because you will likely run into issues building a hackintosh. Ask specific questions and the community will be happy to help. When you say hang up what do you mean? Did it get to the apple logo? Did it kernal panic...
1. SSD - there is nothing wrong with an SSD of that size just not really necessary. Many of us use our SSD as a boot loader and store information on a mechanical drive. For video editing you may want to go larger than the usual 120 gb SSD but 480 gb is a lot. That would save you quite a bit of...
OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3 Beta has AMD Radeon 7XXX drivers
Works fine for me. Just had to follow the guide and grab the 6xxx kext from Lion and then use kext beast.
