    Asus X299 - Support

Just to make sure you understand, I got the MSI x299 Raider to work following KGP's Guide. https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/imac-pro-x299-live-the-future-now-with-macos-10-14-mojave-successful-build-extended-guide.255082/ I never tried to get Thunderbolt to work on my board, but from what I...

    Asus X299 - Support

As long as that board/bios allows you to unlock MSR, that should be fine. I have been using a MSI x299 Raider with a 7920x for over a year now with no complaints.

    Asus X299 - Support

This is great news for PC lovers, but since Apple doesn’t support Ryzen I tend to shrug news off like this as wishful thinking. I for one am glad I was able to make a Hackintosh that is closely spec’d to the iMacPro, with the ability to be close to what the MacPro will be for a more affordable...

iMac Pro X299 - Live the Future now with macOS 10.14 Mojave [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Anyone have any idea what is a Radeon Pro 64x graphics chip is? Newest spec bump has it as a $700 additional option. This upgrade price equals the cost of Radeon VII, but I have the feeling it’s not the same thing.

Make sure BIOS is most current BIOS. Originally ASUS didn't include MSR Lock Control in the BIOS, but was added to more current BIOS after KGP requested for it. The most current version of the BIOS is Version 1602.

Looking at error message it looks like a memory or driver issue. I found similar error message using google, and it was determined to be that. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8401031 I also found more info about understanding kernal panics. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT200553...

    Can't boot from USB installer

Yes install USBInjectAll.kext to the /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/ directory of the EFI-Folder on your USB drive. That is if you are booting from the USB drive.

With all the talk about GPU fan noise and Coil Whine, made me wonder if there was another way to combat these besides trying to eek out better performance from a notoriously power hungry card that has exhibited coil whine in the past. No, not all RX Vega 56 and 64 have these problems, but there...

Sorry for you are feeling not welcome to this thread @shael. When updating to the latest EFI Folder, did you make sure to re-install the ACPISensor.kext, CPU Sensors.kext, GPUSensore.kext and LPCSensors.Kext. These kext are not included in KGP EFI folder, and need to be there in order for iStat...

Please forgive my ignorance on this matter, what are you using to view your GPU fan speed , temperature etc? I found a terminal script to do this, and I was wondering if this is what you are using. Thanks.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to @kgp and all other regular contributors on this board. You helped inspire me to make my newest “Mac”, a MacPro worthy successor to my 5,1 MacPro. These “Macs” that you have put together are truly what Apple should have done with the present hardware...
