Hi,
I have an odd problem regarding the monitor output. I have two graphic cards as described in the signature. The AMD card is in slot #1 and connected to the monitor via HDMI, and the nVidia card is in slot #2 and connected to the monitor via DP. I have disabled the nVidia card from...
Hi,
I recently updated the EFI folder to your latest version (5.1.7) from r.5.1.4.
Everything seems to run well, but I have this strange error before Clover is loaded.
When I enter OSX, there is this: a bunch of +++++++++ with a cursor at the topscreen.
I've googled quite a bit and cannot...
I finally updated to Catalina and tried out Opencore folder in post #1.
I decided to revert back to Clover. However, I have this screen before every boot for about 5s before the Clover graphical UI shows up. How do I get rid of it?
Hi, I'm still on High Sierra since I have a nVidia card. I've been using the EFI folder for High Sierra from the first post. Can I use the OpenCore installation from the first post on HS? Thanks!
@Thorsager : I had the same issues. I haven't used MacOS much after applying the recent EFI 4.4 patch though, so haven't encountered any new kernel panic.
I have been playing games on Windows, which is rock stable, so the issues are very unlikely hardware related. I also overclocked in Windows...
I've been having this problem as well.
It's usually just a random shutdown and then I'd be greeted with a kernel panic screen the next time you boot up.
I just finished my build and installed Mojave. It's been driving me insane. I keep thinking it's the RAM or the graphic card. But Windows 10...
I'll try that. Although at 4.7Ghz, windows 10 does not cause any issue. Maybe OS X is not as fault-tolerant as windows. I hope it fixes the crashes.
Thanks.
Unfortunately after all the USB remapping, my computer still has random reboot with a notice of kernel panic upon the next boot.
I've done RAM check without any errors. Windows 10 can run well and play demanding games without issue. I'm not sure where the problem is.
Attached is the kernel...
Yeap it's working now. I'm not sure if it's the cause of the random reboot previously. I guess I'll see.
If the 2 USB 3.1 gen 2 are not counted, we only have to disable 4 ports (HS11-14) to get the total number down to 15 right?
HS01-06 + SS01-06 + HS07 + HS09-10= 15 ports
I had some free time today so I remapped the USB ports.
I realise the dsl file in post #1 is not accurate (m.2 bluetooth USB port is actually HS07, not HS14; HS09 and HS10 should be USB2 only - "UsbConnector" : 0 instead of 3, etc...). Maybe that's your old draft? I've attached my version here...
Thanks for your help. With that config.plist, all the USB ports in the back and the front works.
However, the wonkinest continues: When HS05/SS05 or HS01/SS01 is occupied by a mouse or keyboard, plugging a thumb drive in HS06/SS06 or HS02/SS02 would disable the mouse/keyboard respectively...
