Howdy!
I'm researching my next project laptop and I've become aware of a new-is hurdle: The CNVi wifi slots/modules that come in many new laptops. Apparently, CNVi wifi connectors aren't necessarily backwards compatible with non-CNVi cards, especially on laptops where BIOS options are often...
You'll need to read the whole thread to see, I think there has been limited success. I have the same model, but I couldn't get the video working correctly because of the 4K screen.
I was able to mostly get it to work by piecing together bits and pieces of configs. It never was perfect though. It was a nightmare and I ultimately decided to buy another motherboard from eBay with only the Intel GPU and swapped that in. It worked for a while but then at some point it got stuck...

The 120GB drive is the OSX drive. I have successfully installed OSX...
I've been able to use other people's files to boot into the installer, but I haven't been able to create a bootable USB following any of the guides and tips I've come across. I want to be able to create my own bootable USB install thumbdrive to learn about the process.
I've looked at everything...
I'm stuck at the same problem. I looked at your info and noticed a few things:
-Looks like you're on a laptop. You posted this in the desktop section so you probably won't get much response.
-Check out this thread for the 15" version of your laptop...
As far as I'm aware, the WiFi module needs to be replaced since there is no support for the included Killer 1535 card since there's currently no driver.
