In fact the CPU had died. Replaced CPU and things got better.
I then went on to replace my GTX 1050 with a RX560 so as to be able to run mojave...
I followed this build by @markoskz and now all is well at the exception of sound and some random reboots but pretty good :)
I'm having the exact same issue(s):
- Only front jack output seems to work
- Sound goes up and down rather randomly
- Sound stops working all together after a while and a reboot fixes it
Also it does reboot randomly every 24-30 hours or so (I wake up every other morning to see it stuck at the...
The Gigabyte Z390I was faulty (no MB beeps (yes I plugged in a motherboad buzzer/speaker)) so now waiting for replacement. I seriously should have just bought an iMac in the first place... :D
Update:
My Gigabyte Z370N seem to have died (hilariously 1 week after the end of warranty...).
I've just ordered a Z390I (based on this successful build report) as the Z370N seems to have been discontinued.
BT and Wifi now appear to be working properly. Pending I connect to a 5ghz wifi network the bluetooth works and isn't laggy (audio).
The following commands seem to have helped:
defaults write com.apple.BluetoothAudioAgent "Apple Bitpool Max (editable)" 80
defaults write...
This is likely to be a dumb question but why would you want to regularly (hence the automation need) backup your EFI volume? I was under the assumption that it doesn't change once your hackintosh is setup? Am I missing something? :)
thanks @BreBo !
With the addition of > sometextfile.txt I could get through it :)
log show --predicate "processID == 0" --start $(date "+%Y-%m-%d") --debug > sometextfile.txt
Random Kernel panics on boot
This happen generally on reboot. It seems that if I turn off power for long enough it must clear out some memory/cache and then will boot properly. Otherwise... Kernel panic.
Looking at the logs...
log show --predicate "processID == 0" --start $(date "+%Y-%m-%d")...
Hi there!
I have random kernel panics on my build and while I can take a photo or even a video of the verbose I'd rather look at the actual log files (if there is such a thing).
I dug a little and all the log files I could access via the console are not showing the boot logs.
Does anyone know...
It's decent for an NVIDIA setup (AMD GPU get render time under 10 seconds) and shows that there is definitely something wrong with my setup since I've got higher specs... Hmm something else to sort out and fix! :)
I'm going to try reset my DRM right away then :) fingers crossed!
EDIT: Holy **** it worked!
Very pleased to see everyone working together like a happy family :)
BruceX still stuck at 60 seconds though.
For the record this is what did it from Shiki FAQ:
Run the following commands in...
I haven't tried anything else than 10.13.3 (yet...) but I remember seeing post indicating that quicksync was less so of an issue prior to 10.13.3 and HS in general.
