    ASUS X299 Monterey/Ventura Support

@djlild7hina hello mate! still here even if I sold my hackintosh parts and now using Mac Studio! Lovely machine but, does your M1 Ultra version buzz a bit at idle fan rpms? My Max idles at 1300 rpms and I can slighlty hear its fans rattling a bit. I mean, you gotta stay really close to hear but...

    ASUS X299 Monterey/Ventura Support

If yor surround system has optical in and your mboard has audio optical out you're good to go. I think you cannot use analog outs (the black green orange ones you know) as multi channel out since macos uses them as separate stereo out I thik. I'm almost sure macos doesn't support soundblasters.

    ASUS X299 Monterey/Ventura Support

Hello guys! Just to let you know I just received my new Mac Studio M1 Max. It's been super funny to tinker with you for all these years, from KGP days to these days... I really wanna thank everyone, my hackintosh has been the best "Mac" I've ever had (until today I hope) and that's because of...

[Success] AMD RX6000 Series working in macOS

Hello guys, just found this thread. I'm considering swapping 6800 XT for 6950 XT to get better gaming experience with Windows side still maintaining macOS compatibility. Probably no RDNA 3 future cards support for macOS, don't you think? Is it reasonable to think of spoofing 6900 XT on a 6950 XT...

Just make sure the internal port where you'll connect the usb cable is mapped as internal, no more config.plist action required.

    ASUS X299 Monterey/Ventura Support

Got your same board mate, never had problems with it and I strongly recommend you to buy a cheap and solid Fenvi T919. You can find it on AliExpress or Amazon for 50 €/$ or less.

    ASUS X299 Monterey/Ventura Support

I can confirm They could, it boots, but it's better to let macOS know that's a 3rd party GPU to my knowledge

macOS 12.3 Update Causes Problems for 5700/6800/6900 Graphics Cards

Really cool job mate, much appreciated. To use this method with 6800XT is sufficient to go: device_type = ATY,BelknapParent ? Is the DualLink String value the same? Thanks for your help.

macOS 12.3 Update Causes Problems for 5700/6800/6900 Graphics Cards

I downgraded to 12.2.1, waiting a few weeks to see if they fix this sh*t! In case they don't I'll apply patches. Do these patches compromise proper functioning of AMD (non Apple MPX) cards? I mean frequencies / thermals etc... you know ---> MPX cards share the same die / GPU / silicon but...

macOS 12.3 Update Causes Problems for 5700/6800/6900 Graphics Cards

Ok, someone should write a streamlined guide on what to inject for 6800XT -> W6800X since I'm lost :headbang:

    macOS 12.3 Update

For everyone having issues with 5700XT 6800 6800XT 6900XT cards like I had: 1. Boot recovery mode 2. Open Disk Utility in Recovery Mode and create a new APFS volume 3. Install 12.2.1 on it (via GibMacOS or Terminal command (Google it I can't remember) 4. Migrate data at the end of the...

    macOS 12.3 Update

I can confirm this 12.3 update breaks compatibility with 6800 XT (which seems to be also on real Mac Pros and eGPUs) as previously reported. Nerfed performances causing glitches and instability. Update went fine on OC 0.7.9 + 9980xe + 6800XT

    ASUS X299 Monterey/Ventura Support

    It looks like 12.3 is breaking compatibility with 6800 | 6800XT | 6900XT | 5700XT | VII cards (glitches, halved performances...)

    Asus Z690 ProArt Creator WiFi (Thunderbolt 4) + i7-12700K + AMD RX 6800 XT

On what do you agree mate? On just sticking with X299 until time has come for an actual mac or to jump in on Alder Lake until macos supports x86?
