    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I'll try that over the weekend on an external HDD I have. It's gonna be super slow, though.

Yeah, I think I'll have to bite the bullet and do that. Unfortunately, it's not so inexpensive where I live.

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I did re-enable it, and it's back to slow AF. What triggers me is that I have been using this rig for a good portion of 5 years now, and this didn't use to happen. Yes. I have been doing in-place updates for the past few versions. Is there a way that I can list all installed drivers somehow (my...

Can I simply re-enable TRIM and suck it up slow boot times? Maybe try to update the firmware? @CaseySJ I did the update, and now I have been experiencing reboots. I think it's when the computer tries to sleep. It's really random kernel panics. Added a log I did have to change the...

YEP! That did the trick! I've set SetApfsTrimTimeout to 0 and it now boots instantly! What are the consequences of not having TRIM?

NVMe is Samsung 970 Pro. Never heard of issues with it. During the boot the HDD led on the case flashes like crazy, so something is definitely happening.

Another weird observation: Booting from the backup (SATA) is MUCH faster than booting from the system drive (NVMe). Should I be worried?

That makes sense. What about the EFI partitions?

The backup just completed, now it shows in OC boot loader, but both (system disk and backup) show as "Monterey". Is there a way to distinguish them? Also, both EFI partitions are showing, can I hide those?

Wow! Thank you so much for the fast response. I'm running that right now. I guess now every backup it's like a FULL backup? Cuz it's taking a while to run...

@CaseySJ Could you please help with a Bootable Backup question? I've followed the guide CCC Bootable Backup mini-guide, but in the end, my bootable APFS container only contains one volume. What did I do wrong? Note: The only point where I deviated from the tutorial is the fact that I didn't use...

Hello sweet ppl from the interwebs! I'm currently running this build with Monterey 12.4, OC 0.7.4 Can I update through system preferences to Ventura after a regular OC update? Or do I require any special updates? Do I need to update BIOS to the newest modded F9i?
