Building a Hackintosh - Compatibility of the 4970K's iGPU

It should, yea.. I've build everything, although OpenGL seems not to work (well).. I'm encountering graphical issues e.g. in the browser (Chrome is worse than Safari), scrolling is not smooth etc. The settings i used in Multibeast are describen in this thread, alongside a problem resulting...

    GA-Z97X Gaming 3 - Yosemite - Post-Installation Issues

Hi guys, I've installed Yosemite successfully on my system (GA-Z97X G3, i7 4790k, HD 4600, 16GB Ram) through safe mode and the vanilla OS is working quite well, except some USB and Graphics issues that should be fixed by using Multibeast.. But whatever settings I choose, the system becomes...

Advice on GPU with 2 Mini Displayports

If the 980 is out of your budget, consider the Palit 970, it costs about 330€ and therefore 220€ less and offers 1xDVI, 3xminiDP, 1xminiHDMI. The performance should be good as well after the newest nvidia webdrivers are supporting them -...

    Asus N56VZ Graphic Issues

Mouse movement is not smooth and every transition like moving a window to front/back is lagging.. USB3 drivers are installed, yes. The laptop is not mine, therefore I didn't fill it into my profile, as my own pc is going to come soon :)

    Asus N56VZ Graphic Issues

Chimera 4.0, as installed by multibeast. Only using nv_disable=1 alongside safe mode is not working either (same error as previously), starting with "maxmem=4096 -x -v IGPEnabler=Yes GraphicsEnabler=No nv_disable=1" leads to a non-working USB port alongside the previous lagging screen..

    Asus N56VZ Graphic Issues

Hi folks, while installing Yosemite on the laptop of a friend, we got it working after fixing "some" issues.. Now, with Mac Os installed, the PC is starting using boot flags "-x -v IGPEnabler=Yes GraphicsEnabler=No", as the GT650M is not supported (as known before).. Although, the graphics...

    PowerMac G5 parts list

The Z97 Mainboard, 4790k and gtx 970 are all latest version of their kind and therefore should (do) work flawlessly together (at least under supported OS). As you can see in this forum, there are quite a lot builds using this processor and at least quite similar motherboards - and if time to get...

Z97x UD5h Motherboard won't boot without Safe Mode

Try to remove the 970 and start with the integrated graphics, as there are some reports claiming it causes OS X to always fail on startup. Just using nv_disable=1 is not enough in this case.. :shifty:

Will this GPU work? -> Nvidia Quadro K4200

No, as it is optimized for gaming it won't perform as well as a (probably cheaper) workstation GPU. Additionally, the 980 is not yet (fully) supported under OS X, when this changes is not known too.

    GTX 970 / GTX 980 are here

I think, that's usually the way they follow.. :beachball: Let's see, what ERSCreeper can report to us

Building a Hackintosh - Compatibility of the 4970K's iGPU

Nice to hear :) Is the integrated graphic fast enough to display on a Full HD display without lags, because I could easily wait 6 months until I will have to buy a graphics card. Until then, my XCode compilation tasks, Skype and Browsing should only burden the CPU and therefore not require a...

Building a Hackintosh - Compatibility of the 4970K's iGPU

Okay, after reading the Buyers's Guide, I thought the series-9 mainboards wouldn't be fully supported yet and I should rather buy a 8er. But if that's obsolete, no problem. Will the iGPU of the CPU work, if the mainboard ones doesn't? I'm aware that support of the 970 is being a little bit...
