Simply enabling VT-d in the BIOS did not fix the problem on my computer. I do not know which of the other settings that allow for AppleVTD have to be unset but with all 3 unset I was able to boot Windows again.
Hi @eos1d3 and @CaseySJ,
finally I was able to reset the board via Q-Flash! I made a stupid mistake with the renaming of the bios file and so the Q-Flash utility was not able to load the bios file from the usb stick.
Thanks again for your help
Peter
Hi @CaseySJ,
that's exactly what I have done in the meantime: opening a support ticket (7 - 10 business days) AND buying a used replacement board because of urgency...
Many thanks for your input.

Hi @CaseySJ and @eos1d3,
many thanks for the input. It did not help to connect the designated pins. I then removed graphics card, ram, cpu, and ... from the motherboard and tried the Q-Flash procedure. Nothing happened, the mainboard seems to be just dead.

Hi @CaseySJ,
I have a BIG problem: my computer does not start any more after the Intel Wireless tests. I used BIOS F20b and stored it on an USB stick. Then I loaded BIOS F5 as you recommended for the wireless test. At the end of the testing, I wanted to reload my original BIOS F20b with all...
Thanks again, I have followed your suggestions but the boot problem remained.
I may have found the problem from the opencore change list 0.7.1 -> 0.7.2:
Misc > Security > SecureBootModel (String): new value added (x86legacy), this is the recommended value for Monterey on Macs and Hacks without...
Hi CaseySJ,
I tried to make my homework and followed the "OpenCore 0.7.2 EFI for Z490 Vision D guide", downloaded the IntelWireless files, and made the described changes to the AMD config.plist. This IntelWireless EFI does not boot on my computer (whereas the normal EFI 0.7.2 does), I have...
Sorry, you are absolutely right. To apologize, I can only say that I was hoping that the brief description of the steps would be enough to reveal an obvious mistake that others have passed through before me.
Thanks. Sorry to bother you again but because the computer was already open I could not resist to try the OpenIntelWireless drivers instead of the Fenvi card. I created a new OpenIntelWireless EFI with HackinDROM, shut down the computer, took out the card, and restarted the computer via the new...
Hi @CamoViking,
welcome in the club and thank you very much for the link. I am curious to see if everything will work again and will report on it later.
Cheers,
Peter
