Ok, ended up fixing the damn thing :)
Basically removed the appleHDA.kext that i had, extracted the "native one" ... and applied your command patch.
I wasn't getting sound at first but because i had it connected to the wrong port. Not line in nor line out ... but RS out ...

I have no sound on my speakers... I tried with an external USB Card and they work flawlessly so it must be a config.

So i'm getting this weird problem that is ... everything should be working ... but when i unplug my speakers ... i get no sound from them.
I have a MSI Gaming 7 and i installed the ALC1150 + HDAEnabler > ID : 1 ...

I finally managed to install everything ... and what's cool is that after some hick-ups the process was really straight forward.

So i'm runing Z97 Gaming 7 mobo with a 4690K and Kingston Savage 2400 ram ( 2x8 ). At the moment running from IGP.
So the problem is... i'm not able to get pass the 10-9 min left on the installer... the system just freezes. Any of you had this kind of problem?
I don't really know...
Hmmm i saw that options in the Bios and was looking at it for 10 seconds thinking if i should enable it or disable it ( don't remember if it was on or off ) :) but i'll try that :P

So after installing successfully Yosemite 10.10.2 ( even upgraded to 10.10.3 without hassle ) on a i7 860 i'm trying to make it run on the following system
- i5 4690k
- MSI z97 Gaming 5
- 16Gb ( 2x8 ) Kingston Savage
- GTX 980
So, bios is set to optimised defaults ... with Vt-D and...
I'm getting that problem too. But i installed the update without any problems. It was only when i did a new build with Multibeast 6.5 that it began.
but in my case i believe is gpu ( GTX760 ) since in the kernel panic error messa i see the nvda_drv standing out... Bummer :x
