Gigabyte Shows off Dual Thunderbolt Z77 Motherboards

The Asus board supports this feature, I'm betting Gigabyte does as well! I hope so anyway. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1t7Rc9q ... ture=g-u-u

    Macbook pro upgrade

I've got a late 2011 13" Macbook pro, I've upgraded the ram to 8GB and a Samsung 830 SSD. I've never used any of the software you're listing, but in Bootcamp I can run Autodesk Inventor 2012 easily. Renders aren't super snappy, but everything else is silky smooth. Even with integrated graphics...

Pro Users Petition Apple for Info on Future of Mac Pro

Paying for Mac OS X is a good idea, hackintosh users don't want to be associated with pirating software, so that's cool. But we're still violating the EULA, I'm not sure if it's illegal, but I don't think Apple would be pleased.

Pre-Computex Thunderbolt on PC Motherboards Overview

I have a question. Since thunderbolt can display video via display port, it must be using the onboard Intel HD Graphics. But what if I install an add-in graphics card, will the thunderbolt port utilize that graphics card, or is it bound to the intel graphics forever? Edit: New video...

All ssd's have a garbage collection function, it runs in the background and clears the cells that were marked for deletion by the computer. TRIM is a command sent from the pc that tells the ssd's onboard firmware what/where it...

Real Mac pro Early 2008 - should I buy it for $150?

I'd probably go for it. If it is unfixable, I bet you wouldn't have any trouble getting your money back selling it for parts.

    p8blr's G5 Mod

Just by luck the psu is just big enough vertically to fit snugly when you bolt the bottom plate on. To stop it from sliding around, I used some .375" right angle aluminum that I got at the hardware store. I bolted the angled aluminum to the plate in a way that would prevent the psu from sliding...

    p8blr's G5 Mod

Hey thanks, the front fan is actually 180mm, and it fits just so. It over hangs the hdd rack about .75 on either side so there's a nice stream of air heading towards the add-in cards.

    p8blr's G5 Mod

Ah, I should have mentioned that in the original post, that's a 120mm radiator with a shroud and 120mm fan on either side in a sort of push-pull setup.
