@RehabMan After following your guides I managed to get the brightness slider in Display preferences but it does not change the brightness.... can you plz help me... I'm using OSX Sierra 10.12.6, temporarly I installed brightness by bergdesign to change brightness

@RehabMan I fixed that issue in OSX Sierra 10.12.6 by removing ACPIBatteryManager.Kext from S/L/E, applied Probook Generic DSDT Patch, and installed a patched AppleSmartBatteryManager.Kext
