Seems this is pretty much solved by using 5GHz WiFi.
Interference between Bluetooth and 2.4GHz WiFi must be the cause.
Still no Bluetooth input in Clover boot but that doesn't matter :)

Only issue im experiencing is a big delay with the apple bluetooth keyboard and mouse. This are not accessible in clover boot eighter.

I ended up installing sierra and upgrading to high sierra from there.
Only issue i have is the sleep/wakeup but simply turned off the sleep.
Could send you the efi folder i ended up using if you are interrested.
