Is this the guide?

Could be more specific what info you want me to report.
I like to see more Skylake specific info in that guide...
Yes, I applied this patch (below) and install IntellBacklight.kext. No Slider in the Display

I read the thread above, but does not apply since the dsdt.aml in Skylate laptops is entirely difference from the Haswell. I tried to apply some patches mentioned in Haswell (PNLF patches but it did not work). I got a no enter sign (Big O with X) in boot.
You should probably create a new guide...
Seijinshu,
Thanks for VoodooHDA tip. HDA Audio is working now using VoodoHDA including headphone and HDMI (I think) as well.
Now, have you managed to get the IntelBacklight.kext working on this laptop?

The dsdt.aml on this laptop has a LCD...
OK. Let me digest these things, so I can get it right.
>> - vanilla AppleHDA installed
I used Kext Wizard to install various AppleHDA kexts.
>>- "IRQ Fix" (usually via DSDT patches)
I don't understand this "IRQ Fix" even reading your laptop dsdt-ssdts patching guide...
Yes, I understand this 2 things are different.
Intel HDA device (e.g. PCI Intel Sunrive HDA) is working since I can see the audio in System Preference now.
However, the Realtek Codec is not yet working - no sound, no input and output yet.
Hope some clarifications on my questions about this...
Before, I do another install just to test the original AppleHDA.kext working after dsdt patching. I think I need to know more and understand about this AppleHDA.kext and codec (e.g. Realtek ALC255 (0x10ec0255)).
Right now, the PCI Intel Sunrise is already recognized and Audio in the System...
It seems that this PCI card is already supported.

OK. I got the audio device now!
Intel High Definition Audio. See attached screenshot (i.e. file). I did DSDT patching to get it working.
The device id is 3 patched on the DSDT patched (layout 3).
However, I AppleHDA.kext is not yet working. No input yet in the sound.
VoodoHDA is not working...
Yes, I tried this one already. However, the PCI card / PCI interface to board with the Realtek chipset is embedded is not detected. I think the FakePCIID needs to be hacked first as I understand it, if I am right.

RehabMan, am right in thinking in...
OK. I just did that audio codec dump from Linux in post above.
Any suggestion what I am going to do next?

Yes, you are right that HDA controller (i.e. Intel PCI ) but the codec device is still using Realtek chipset (ALC3234).
Here's the output from linux (below).
What I am going to do next?

Hi,
I managed to install OS X El Capitan (10.11.5) in my Dell Inspiron 5559.
My 2 problems are: Audio and WiFi (out of the question at the moment). However, I think the audio problem can be fixed.
This laptop does not have Audio Realtek ALC3234 controller as some of the users are claiming...
