[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

Have mine semi working, wiped out the serial/smbiosdata, rest is ok for 10.14.6 lastest and 4k formatted nvme. Nearly same config, but FHD and 16GB RAM. Not pretending that everything is done right, but it boots and works for me. Mind replacing values with yours in the config "FILL_YOURS" lines

What about the panic on boot with the 2.1 release? Everything works just fine with 2.0.3. Have you applei2c patches in clover config from CoolStar? lines 34 to 57

nope, DW-1830 only with special windows drivers. But you''l have to deal with bluetooth issues across reboots through various OS. DW-1820A have only BT working natively under macOS.

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

Yep, already made it a couple of days ago, by the way I am not sure that the firmware is loading. With force firmware loading option, the laptop becomes extremly bogus, while in the readme for the kext it's mentionned that -disablegfxfirmware is just not a mandatory option now, and that the kext...

That is cool, but would you be so kind to share your DSDT edits in guide manner, since you're posting in the guide thread about something successfully achived.

Try buying a new SPI chip and flash it with the modified dump. Can be something OTP-flash related, like it was on old sonyericsson phones, where a region of flash chip was allowed to be writeable only once.

Already tried and tested, even found the right pin value, but I have no experience nor nowledge in DSDT editing, only patching following explicit guides here and on some other forums. So I failed to get it working, but the trackpad is recognized in ioreg, and be ready to use an external usb...

DW1830 Bluetooth not available (power saving issue?)

Same thing on 9360, solved by disabling bt in bios, but it's more a workaround than a fix...

These are dell's default capacities offered during the order. There are no limits in os, nor the UEFI for both NVMe & SATA, so you can install the drive of any capacity and speed you need.
