Have mine semi working, wiped out the serial/smbiosdata, rest is ok for 10.14.6 lastest and 4k formatted nvme. Nearly same config, but FHD and 16GB RAM.

nope, DW-1830 only with special windows drivers. But you''l have to deal with bluetooth issues across reboots through various OS. DW-1820A have only BT working natively under macOS.

Try buying a new SPI chip and flash it with the modified dump. Can be something OTP-flash related, like it was on old sonyericsson phones, where a region of flash chip was allowed to be writeable only once.

These are dell's default capacities offered during the order. There are no limits in os, nor the UEFI for both NVMe & SATA, so you can install the drive of any capacity and speed you need.
